Any great Saints team would have to include MLT - arguably the best footballer I have ever seen. So I will have to nominate Matt Le Tissier and Alan Ball. But what about Steve Williams, Armstrong, McCalliog, etc, etc?

I'm down because i had quite high hopes - and now i find we are 4th to bottom with a minus goal difference of around 14. A nice little run of five games unbeaten, with 3 wins would cheer me up no end, but i can't see that it's likely. :smt010

Thnaks for this. i agree that we need a forward who can get more shots in and score more goals, and also hold the ball. As for midfield, we seem to have huge numbers of midfielders - why is Gillett out of favour - whenever i have seen him he looks as though he has considerable potential to be a biting busy midfielders like Ball or Strachan.

Surely we need to be able to play well in two halves??

Apparently they only arrived at the ground 45 minutes before kick off which doesn't sound very professional to me. Why do we start so badly in matches- we almost give the opposition a one or two goal start.

I'd like to see Lallana get a few shots on target today.

Well i will say Terry Paine although he was surely a right winger really. We could also go for Steven Williams or Alan Ball.

He looks like a player completely off form and might benefit from a few games in the reserves.

We need to practise shooting - does Lallana ever shoot anymore?

I totally agree - their shooting is simply awful - I think they need to practice and practice shooting around the edge of the box.

Our goals to chances ratio does seem to be very poor - do we actually practice shooting at the goal? We jolly well ought to!

Very very very disappointing. We have to make periods of dominance count by scoring goals. Do these guys practise shooting?

I hope it sells out but I have my doubts - I am planning to go but £30 is a lot of money when all the travel etc is added in.

I predict a gate of around 30,500 - ie not quite a sell out.
