It was great to see a whole Hampshire match. i thought we did very well - except for that horrendous over by Tremlett! The expected batting collapse failed to materialise and we eased home. Well as you say we're hampshireso coudl be bowled out for 75 but Lancs are all out for 254 meaning we need 118 by my reckoning. It's currently 0 for 0.

I must say that i am most impressed with this chap Tony Lynam.

Lancs are 208 for 7 - a lead of just 71. If we can carry on like this we could conujure a good victory.

Well their stand is worth over 50 - it seems we must rely on Pothas to try to rescue us fairly frequently. The averages of Carberry, Benham, Lumb can't look too pretty. If things go well we might manage a first innings lead of 100. We seem to have gone right off the boil in the CC

I was 29! Working at Warwick University. We had some great football in that period always scoring incredible goals.

This is excellent news - he will bring the 'wow' factor and attract many players who otherwise would not come. We will see more season tickets and generate more sponsorship and we will attract a lot more media attention. As for the churlish curmudgeons on here - haven't we had enough doom-mongering?
