In my view Gillett has a lot of potential if only he were given a chance. Last season he looked good. I definitely hope we keep him.

My optimism has been brought down to earth and I now have fairly low excpectations for this season.

We have finally got Trescothick out and they are 313 for 7 so we might yet manage to enforce the follow on. We really do need to win this game if at all possible.
