Diabolical. This must be the worst start to a season for many a long year. I had great hopes some time ago of Benham but he needs to be dropped. What is mckenzie contributing? Dear oh dear.

They got 180. We are now 76 for 5 and things are not looking good. Too many of our batsmen are getting out far too cheaply.

Notts are scoring at a about 8 an over - none of our bowlers have really managed to contain them. This will be a big test for our batters - time for McKenzie to show why we signed him??

I have been watching Saints for 50 years and i have never once said 'we have nothing to play for'. True professionals and fans should always have something to play for - pride in the club. We should always aim to give our best and win. And there other reasons such as continuing and strengthening a winning mentality in readiness for next season.

271 for 7 now - quite a recovery given the failures up the order.

140 for 5 - without Carberry we would be up the creek without the proverbial. Severeal of them are clearly out of sorts (eg Benham).

They seem too casual with poor leadership and discipline - but maybe they are just not good enough.

75 for 7 against Durham - no excuses! It's very poor indeed.

I remain to be convinced about Kabir Ali.
