yes -it looks like another win in the 40 overs -if we can keep this going who knows what's possible?!

If we can't beat Scotland things are bad - but at least we have Michael Lumb back for us.

It all speaks volumes about what a vain twit Hoddle was -and no doubt still is.

Some of you seem to be very easily satisfied. I think it's all pretty poor - wrong decision to bowl, poor bowling, not very good batting (with two exceptions), amnd now we are 216 behind and they ahev 9 wickets standing. I assume it will be a draw or a Yorkshire win (depending on the weather). This is a dreadful season.

269 for 6 - we have avoided the follow on - looks like a big first innings lead for Yorks and we miss out on batting points - hopefully I will be wrong - all a bit gloomy again.

Well we have reached 125 for 2. I suppose it was utterly predictable that Lumb would got out for nought! I still think the decision to bowl first was a big mistake and handed Yorks the initiative.

I have long been a great admirer of Nic Pothas - he has dug us out of a lot of holes over the years. However, I have come to the view he is a poor captain - he doesn't seem to inspire them, his choice of bowlers is utterly predictable (why didn't he try dawson today?), and he makes various poor decisions. I heard someone on the TV say this season is the worse start Hants have ever made to the championship - can that really be true?

215 for 3 - maybe they will collapse now?

160 for 0 - the gamble by Pothas is looking more strange by the minute. Time to try something different - eg: give Dawson a few overs.

114 for 0 after 28 - not looking too promising.

I think Pothas has lost the plot! I also think our bowling looks very weak - i watched them yesterday against warwicks and was deeply unimpressed with Tomlinson's bowling and also Corky. And now today these two (especially Tomlinson) have been hammered. We are too erratic - we don't seem to be able to pressurise them from the start. Well i hope i am wrong and we bowl them out for 150 but we haven't made a good start.

I watched it on Sky 3 - a very good result given Warwicks home record. However, we still look a bit light-weight in the bowling department. It was nice to see Wood given a chance. Ervine looks rejuvenated with bat and ball.

Well it's Yorkshire next - and I hope we build on this result to get another win.

Wow - Ervine is on 223! We have actually got some batting points!

281 for 7 - better than it looked but we still managed to lose two wickets in the last few overs. Will we get to 300??

Is this side really good enough to get automatic promotion next season?
