Hmm, well I'll have a grey hoodie on (if not too warm) and it has the Saints Crest with "Irish Saints" written under it - if you check out www.irishsaints.ie - the pic in the top left, im the second from the left - not a great pic but should help identify me - ill make sure i sit towards the front of the train so..... maybe see you in the morn then.
-
Well, if your travelling alone, I might wait and get the 10:23 - a bit of company and a little pre-match chat on how we are going to rip leeds appart?
-
What time? Ill be getting either 9:23 or 10:23 from Bristol....
-
So is any one going to be on a train Saturday morning from Bristol then heading to St Marys?
-
As a matter of fact there is You bring the beer, i'll bring the bbq and am.... some meat and a football - we can have a drunken orgy of a burger eating football match........
-
Unfortunately, they have f**ked around with flight times and days with Bournemouth - I used to be able to do day trips flying back on an 8pm flight from there - now they don't even fly on a satruday at anytime...... Bristol / Gatwick with ryanair are the only realistic alternatives to flybe - as handy as it is to fly to Southampton, i'd rather save over £100. My flights for the Leeds game to Bristol return cost €20 (inc credit card fee's) and the train, again return booked in advance, £11 - the cheapest I have ever got flybe return to southampton was €108 - currently its €140, so for the sake of a 1hr 40 min train journey, I have an extra £100 to play around with.... (basically I can get to St Marys 3 times for the price of one return flybe flight)

About 8,000 seats will be lost to Segregation. A further 2,000 - 3,000 could be lost as it looks increasingly likely that Carlisle won't take up their full allocation. Suppose its a question of how desperately Saints fans wan't to be there because there are tickets still available for Club Wembley level seats but obviously it will cost you a few pounds....
-
I usually get the train - Bristol to Southampton - the 9:23am one, if my flight is a little late i get the 10:23am one. Will be on one of them this saturday for the leeds game - usually fly dublin to bristol (hell of a lot cheaper that dublin southampton)

Official: 44,000 tickets for Wembley then...

I am a man of principle so here we go again...... Firstly - Read the first quote by me on this. If you have actually already done that, then you clearly don't understand that "IF" is used in a hypothetical sense. Secondly - Club Wembley have almost 15k seats. As the JPT is not a listed event, Club Wembley members have first refusal on them. That process has passed and as clearly evident on this forum, Saints fans are wrapping up quite a few club wembley tickets. So unlike your assumption that club wembley is for "Neutrals" only, I think you will find quite a lot of Saints fans on that level, along with no doubt some Carlisle fans and indeed, some neutrals. Thirdly your quote of 20k empty seats is largely in line with what I originally said which was "there won't be 25k empty seats for segregation!!!" Hopefully this has put your tiresome arguement in which you were trying to point out that I was wrong to rest and in the end, you have agree'd somewhat with me that there won't be 25k empty seats! -

It was a rough est which is as follows 44k Saints + 26k Carlisle + 15k Club Wembley (i had miss typed to 10k but if your read the first part you'd have seen 15k)..... and the few commercial tickets the football league have...... Did I say 88k? NO, i said expect 85k-88k, further making the point that there won't be 25k empty seats. ffs, how the **** would i know that there would be 88k? it was a bloody est. -

Well about 15k seats are club wembley which have already had a large up take so if all were to sell out, ie Carlisle 26k, Saints 44k and Club Wembley 10K - thats 85k - also there is a quantity of football league "commercial interests" tickets for JPT, other sponsors etc. so expect 85k-88k - there won't be 25k empty seats for segregation!!! -
Looking forward to this one - If we play like we did on Saturday, 2-0 to Leeds If we play like we did prior 2 to that, 3-2 to the Saints.
-
Maybe we should get a few pre-seasons away to Brentford, Tranmere, Exeter, Wycombe - of course, we would need to ensure that we paid them well for cutting up their turf during the summer especially for us !!!
-
Was at the game also, Ref was a shocker - for both teams. Right from the off he was poor and the two linesmen were not much beter. Personally, I can live with no getting a legit penality, we are a far better team than Tranmere and should have picked up the 3 points anyway but we didn't.
-
I reckon you are correct - moore scored for them and he was #9 Was at the game - ref was shocking. Poor throughout the whole game for both teams although they benefited from the refs imagination with the non existent penalty. I was using livescore.com at the game checking up on milwall and huddersfield, was wondering if i was at the same game as they were showing Tranmere 1 v 2 Saints!!!
-
Shame about the game though... ref was poor but we should have been good enought to get 3 points and we were'nt!! We managed to do a pub crawl in John Lennon Airport!!! I'm sure I will bump into you again at some match in the future...
-
sitting in george best airport... not a freaking bar to be found.... o'neills can't come quick enough! Saints 3 0 today, barnard gets first and lambert nets a peno... wayne thomas off the bench to fire home from 47 yards!

25 hours to kick off...... Boylesports are offering the Saints -1 @ 3/1 ....... I think we will win by more than a goal, think I might be dropping a ton on that.... my last 2 -1's have come good!! Think i'll make it three in a row!! Barnard to Score First, Lambert the second and Hammond the third..... 3-0 to da Saints!! Right anyway..... O'Neills tomorrow at 11am - sounds like there will be a few of us there, get a little pre match beer into ourselves.
-
80 mins gone and still 0 - 0 - Pards decideds to shake things up a bit. Wayne Thomas off the bench and makes little impact until the 93 min. A shot rebounds off Kelvin Davis, Wayne picks up in our 6 yard box, dribbles past the 10 outfield Tranmere players (2 of them twice) and takes a 47 yard shot recorded by Sky Sports as having travelled at 133 miles per hour (prompted by the chorus of "Shoot, Shoot" from the cowshed end of Prenton Park) that hits the crossbar, rebounds out, hits of the back off tranmere goalkeepers head and then goes off the outside of the upright and out for a corner....ref gives goal kick contrary to the flag of his linesman and blows up. 0 - 0 final score - Pards post match press conference.... ".......we should have won but for the pitch....."
-
I don't get this at all - how can we have "professional" players who grew up playing on sh!te turf, now got a taste of the creme de la creme of finely cut grass at St Marys and are incapable of pulling expected results away because of the "mucky" ground....... I can understand Manchester United complaining when they are away in the Champions League to "FC Never Heard off" who play in front of 2,000 somewhere in Romania.... but ffs, were league one and have had to play on poor surface quite regularly as has half our bloody team for the past few seasons... Lambert, Seabourne, Barnard etc - this is the level they have played at and if there not able to play dog eat dog football on semi waterlogged mud baths, how the hell have they lasted this long? Fact is, we've been sh!te at times and YES the conditions have gone against us at times but no team wants to play on a pitch where the ball stops dead in a pile of mud every two seconds. We just need the likes of Lallana to stop thinking he is Brazillian when we have to play on though surfaces, neat tricky football is not going to work.
-
No problem, our flight gets into Liverpool for about 10:20 so I think 11am is a reasonable time to expect us (3 of us going). I believe we are wearing our blue(navyish) and yellow away shirt? Is that correct - anyone know? Even Guinness believe's in the Saints.....

Some win last night!!! Hey, we've updated the web site. Check out http://www.irishsaints.ie for the latest -
As previously Mentioned, I am in Liverpool City Centre form 11am. How about 11am in O'Neills - I've worn footie tops in their before (so for those of us wearing colours, shouldnt be a problem) and its central, only 5 min walk to Lime Street Station. http://www.oneills.co.uk/oneillsliverpool/ Its just a suggestion, but maybe a handy meet up point and take it from there?
