Minimum wage for a professional footballer
1976_Child replied to Window Cleaner's topic in General Sports
There are different levels of NMW, depending on your age and whether you are an apprentice. The current rates (from 1 October 2011) are: £6.08 - the main rate for workers aged 21 and over £4.98 - the 18-20 rate £3.68 - the 16-17 rate for workers above school leaving age but under 18 £2.60 - the apprentice rate, for apprentices under 19 or 19 or over and in the first year of their apprenticeship If you are of compulsory school age you are not entitled to the NMW. Some of your other employment rights are also different. http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/Employment/Employees/TheNationalMinimumWage/DG_10027201 whether you kick a football around a park, do the bins or work in an investment bank. The Law of the Land is very clear on this. -

You know where the 'fans bricks' are in the wall at SMS? What we should all have is one of those, but in a lock-up mail box. Just put all the tixs in and we can collect at the next home game. -

Why can't they send the bus tickets as they normally do the game ticket? Mind boggles. -
Sweet heart, Santa gives things away for free - unlike the Tory scum.
-
No one's getting me to return my ticket! I've been looking forward to going back to Fratton for years. And personally I couldn't care less about the bubble. Just so long as it is done to them too when they come to us. Wouldn't have happened in old uncle Art's day. Him and his mates used to go to both Saints and Pompey. They were all Reds but anything to get away from their missuses. That was back in the 50s mind. How times change.

can I come on your knee?
-
no shirt for me this time. And probably only a non-football scarf and hat. got to do the train from Hove to Southampton and back, going through skate territory. Just not worth the hastle. I want to enjoy the day out.

Then don't be a feking bellend. Support your club. Don't tittle-tattle.
-
Roger, where do you sit in SMS?
-
Feking typical Tory Plastic. 'What's in it for me....blah...blah...where's the market-forces making this tic cheaper.. blah blah' Get off your over privileged a-rse and support your club. You can always go and cream yourself over Meryl Streep at a later date!!
-
ok. ta. Are you going?
-
My darling, that is not what you said! You said: "27 quid. available from their ticket office. " No where in that was mention of away supporters.. ... Are you going?
-

Daft question maybe, but did we sell out Donny tomorrow? Got a bit p!ssed, thought I'd go and get one on the gate...
-
Well Alan Whitehead has to say he supports Saints doesn't he! Can't exactly knock on your door come election time and tell you he supports the Skates.
-
