I think most fans feel this way about Rupert. It's nothing to do with hate as some have suggested.

As mentioned above by St Landrew we could be in for a long wait. Unfortunately the club's finances are dire. The best we can hope for is survival or mid-table mediocrity. We are in for a bumpy ride over the next few seasons. We will have to dodge relegation, the taxman and retain the support of our bank and bond holders.
-
But are we going to make the play-offs? IMHO, very unlikely unless Lowe and Wilde have found that allusive investment which the club is crying out for. Come Jan some key players will be sold to balance the books. Therefore the best we can hope for is survival in this league or mid-table mediocrity and crowds hovering around the break-even figure.

I would welcome it. What's your views?

Crouch only bought Andrew Davies.

I agree and so does Le Tiss;)

If the team has finally turned the corner and the club can survive the Jan transfer window without selling any of our youngsters, has the financial support of the bank and bond holders, then I believe we should stick with the current senior management setup. But if the club does not return to the premiership within a few years then administration will be a certainty. Our club is saddled with an expensive premiership infrastructure, loss of premiership income (sky tv and corporate money), hugh overdraft and falling attendances due to the credit crunch. Andrew Cowen alluded to this during pre-season and indicated that the club desperately needs inward investment, either partial or a full takeover.

What's replacing a chief executive of a football club got to do with finding investors? Nothing! It's just an executive job in a small plc company in the leisure industry.

I'm with you saintwarwick. When Lowe leaves we will have to close the club because we will not be able to find a suitable replacement to run SFC which is understandable as we only live on a small planet with a minor population of 6.72 billion people. Lowe has god like football business powers and it's a miracle the club survived prior to 1997:rolleyes: By the way, I'm pro SFC not pro/anti Lowe. What are you??? SFC is bigger than any individual or group! If Lowe or someone else helps turn the club's fortunes around then great SFC moves forward. The people running the club should be judged on their performances, like in any industry. Lowe's regime will be judged on league position, finances and by share holders' votes. Our views count for nothing.

It's all ifs. Who knows what would of happened; If Lowe had not appointed Wigley, if an unfit Steve Williams had not played the FA Cup semi-final, if the reverse takeover had not taken place etc etc...

Sums up how all sides have behaved:(

Subject to agreed conditions I suspect.

If Lowe decides to remove Wilde, it will be done after the AGM.
-
Quite right. At the end of the day we're all Saints fans and care deeply about our club.
-
If we select the team that played the second-half today, plus wotton then we might get a result.
-
To be fair I think this is relevant to both Lowe in/out factions.

David's a great bloke but he does sit on the fence too much for my liking.

There are loads of options. There are plenty of good people out there who could run this club equally or better than Rupert Lowe. By the way he only works 2 days a week at SFC.
