  1. But now it's not about the players it's about saving the club from going bust. As fans we have to dig deep and stand by our club in its hour of need. Do the right thing and get down to St.Marys on Mon;)
  2. I understand how you feel but this is all about saving the club. Results are insignificant now. The club is in Intensive Care clinging to life. Do we pull the plug on the life support machine, let the club vanish from existence or do we fight to preserve this once great proud club? I'll be there Mon because the club needs our financial support. Do nothing and you might live to regret your actions. SOS
  3. Too lightweight, no shape, no fight and too many players not good enough for this league. It will be a struggle in L1 next season if we manage to survive administration. I pray and hope that we get new owners who are willing to invest enough money to help rebuild this troubled club.
  4. Crap result today but all Saints fans must get down to St.Marys on Mon. The club's survival depends on our support.
  5. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssssss. WOOT
  6. Gavyn Davies is not involved in any bid.
  7. Agree. Whoever comes in must work to a 5-6 year plan and supporters must be patient.

  10. Good on them. I will send some money. Hope all Saints fans do the same. SOS
  11. http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/saints/news/4266384.Richards_explains_why_he_has_joined_forces_with_Crouch/ RUPERT Lowe’s former boardroom supporter Mike Richards has revealed why he has joined forces with former Saints rival Leon Crouch. The pair have signed a letter which will be given to all corporate hospitality guests at St Mary’s today. It asks for donations to help keep Saints alive, and Richards told the Daily Echo that himself and Crouch have both made a financial contribution to help keep the club going. “I won’t say how much because different people can afford different amounts,” said Richards. “The message I want to get across is that all donations are vital. “We want to see a packed stadium this weekend because that will show potential buyers what potential we have. “Myself and Leon are putting petty differences behind us and are just concentrating on the future. “It’s all about how we can go forward now. The past has gone, we have to look forward.” The Echo have obtained a copy of the letter that has been signed by Richards and Crouch, and the wording is as follows: ‘We are writing to you, not as past Directors or now past Shareholders but purely as fans of Southampton Football Club. We have put all past differences behind us and would fervently hope that all other supporters will do the same. The position the club is in is now absolutely clear and we are focussed on doing all we can to help in its hour of need. As well as filling the ground this afternoon and for all the remaining home games we all need to get behind the manager and the team and cheer them to success on the field. We can also help the financial problems off it by making cash donations to get the club through to the end of the season and beyond if necessary. We urge you to give whatever you can, whether corporate or personal - No amount is too small or too large!! We have arranged with the club to have this letter posted on the club website and in future programmes and to list all those donating £1,000 or more by way of thanks, although even the smallest amount will be equally valued. Donations can be made by cash, card or cheque in the hospitality suites and boxes today. Please make your cheques payable to Southampton Football Club Limited and send them direct to David Jones at the club.’ Mods. Can the donation details be made a sticky????
  12. £1000 from me.
  13. Think you could be right. Interim results might be out tomorrow. It would be in the club's interest to suspend shares, especially if the financial results are very poor.
  14. Oh dear. Hope it's not truth.

  16. MW just let it slip that Euel's high wages prevented him being picked previously.
  17. Brilliant result. Well done lads.
  18. Agree in part. 04/05 Lowe appoints three managers in one season. The result? Relegation and the loss of the Sky TV money and other income spin-offs (£25M-£30M). Lowe offers his resignation. 05/06 Against the first team manager's wishes Lowe brings in SCW as DoF and sidekick Clifford. Redknapp resigns mid-season and returns to Skateville. Lowe appoints Burley. The off field events dominate the close season. 06/07 Lowe refuses Wilde a directorship. Eventually Lowe is forced out. Wilde fails to deliver on his investment promises despite a massive £7M spending spree. Wilde is voted off both plc and football boards. The executives become the dominate force within the boardroom. The executives force out Crouch and Trant. 07/08 Hone & co negligently mismanages the club's finances. SISU withdraws its takeover offer. Hone & Co resign because of shareholder resolutions. Crouch takes over. Burley resigns and Crouch appoints Dodd and Gorman. NP replaces D&G and narrowly steers Saints clear of relegation on the very last day of the season. Lowe and Wilde unite and force Crouch & Co to step down. 08/09 Lowe appoints inexperience Dutch manager, JP. This alienates the fan base, attendances drop significantly and the clubs drops into the bottom three. Relegation and administration threatens. It's obvious that they are all equally to be blamed and should all hold their heads in shame.
  19. A great post Duncan. The club will never move forward until those responsible for our demise leave our club for good.
  20. If we go into administration before the 3rd week in March then we'll take the hit this season. Football League Insolvency Policy states that football clubs must exit administration having paid off “football creditors” in full and by way of a Company Voluntary Arrangement (“CVA”). If we breach this rule then a further points penalty is likely. Going into administration after 3rd week of March would mean a points penalty this season and next.
  21. Having a degree does not guarantee a broad intelligence.
