  14. Interesting debate on 606: http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A63481016 If the club were allowed to sell their half-decent players they would be left with an even worse team than they played the first half of the season - this would give an advantage to teams yet to play them... Whereas, when Gordon Ferquhar said "if Portsmouth go under all their points would be cancelled and the league table would be falsely affected", he has failed to back that up with any logic - surely if all points were cancelled then everyone gets zero - and this is totally fair. It happens in many other leagues at lower levels, and other sports - because it's 'fair'. Ask anyone that has played FA grass roots football and they'll confirm that if a team drops out the points are cancelled for all.

  16. The idea is so crazy. If P*mpey sell their best players it will weaken their team. Therefore, the teams that are due to play them over the remainder of the season will gain a competitive advantage over teams that have already played them. It's absolutely wrong. The best solution would be for the Premier League to advance them the TV money with a nine point deduction.
  17. http://www.sec-com.govt.nz/new/releases/2003/260303.shtml 26 March 2003 News Release WARNING - WEBSITE SCHEME - http://WWW.ENDEAVORPLAN.COM The Securities Commission has banned advertising for an investment scheme which appears on the web site http://www.endeavorplan.com. This web site appears to be administered by a company in the West Indies called Endeavor Portfolio Corporation Limited. The web site also states that its founder is Mr. Victor Cattermole. We understand that Mr. Cattermole is a New Zealander and resides in Wellington. The scheme invites the public to contribute funds by way of credit card. It is said that these funds are then invested in a British Virgin Islands fund called CSA Absolute Return Fund Limited. This is done through a Hong Kong company. The scheme offers commissions to investors who introduce other investors. The Commission banned advertising for the scheme because it does not comply with the law. To be offered in New Zealand the scheme must have a registered prospectus and an investment statement. These documents are not available. The Commission warns people about committing any money to the scheme. The Commission warns people generally about investment schemes that they find on the Internet. Investments promoted on the Internet must still comply with New Zealand law. Norman F. Miller Director of Enforcement
