Pardew, you need to assemble a midfield that is competitive and capable of scoring a fair percentage of goals from the chances they get. Im afraid that in many games this season they do neither.

Totally agree,as for Scheiderlin can someone tell me if he is an attacking or defending midfielder cos he does neither.

Until we get an O,Hara type player into our midfield we are not going to progress as much as we want. Have agued this point on recent threads and got slagged off by certain people, ( you know who you are ). Too many chances fall to midfield players whose shot/goals ratio is dire.

We were undone by starting the game with pace when the game was tight , Pompey finished with pace when the game was stretched. Lambert taking set pieces also a mistake as proved by the one time someone else took over. A fixture I ( being in the minority )did not want, let,s hope it does not wreck the rest of the season.
