I thought that the loss of those players over the summer was bad , but it is what the money has been spent on that is really tragic.
-
Best result possible with the forwards we have.
-
20M spent on that strike force is just a joke .
-
So then, how is the asset stripping going then lads..?

This post is probably not too far from the truth. The " worst case scenario " did happen IMO but it is now ( with the probable exception of MS ) history, time to move on. -
Yep, and now we enter the desperate, panic buying stage.
-
A few photos of the Dell and one or two faces you might know.

The days when football was fun. It all comes in a much better box these days but the contents are not as good. -
Got a gut feeling that this deal is going to fall through.
-
I blame the board for this.
-
Also found it strange why Guly had so many chances but not someone like Sharp. Would not want him to stand in the way of another striker coming to the club, but until that happens give him a go.
-
No play then no pay. See out your contract then **** off, or if you must go then sell him to a club in Greece or Turkey or maybe Iraq ?
-
I actually managed to buy a player on this, however it was Tommy Forecast for 5M .
-
If this is the case why are we targeting players for positions that do not need strengthening ? We need a back up keeper ( cheaper wages ) rather than an expensive one which may cause Boruc to leave. We are now ( probably ) over stocked with midfielders ( again ups the wage bill ) but very light at centre back and up front. Surely it makes sense using our "credit limit" on players in more vital positions ?

Glad someone else can see this. According to some the board are so great that when they sit down, the sun goes in. Hope I am wrong but it looks like we are going to end up with the scaps at best , there is something very wrong with the club that's why so many want out and so few are keen to come. Lowe went down this road, got in Redknap with his loans and freebies, look what happened.
-
And will probably replace the loyal and decent player which is Jack Cork. Would be nice if the squad was strengthened where it is weakest, which is NOT midfield.
-
It,s getting to the point where people will be delighted with panic buys which to be honest is all the club could probably manage. The reason signings cannot get " over the line" is that anyone half decent would not want to get involved with this crock of ****.

Where will we finish next season? Poll please mods!

With the present defence we will ship goals for fun, with the present attack we will struggle to negate the defence. Can only see one outcome am afraid. -
Forster and the two from Norwich.
-
No I didn't complain about Rodriguez, but then that was one bit of business and Burnley,s only loss at that time. Wanyama, ditto and not going to effect Celtic and their position. Tadic , like yourself never heard of the bloke a month ago. You seem like the sort of person that goes in his local, gets served a short measured, flat pint, gets charged £5 and still thinks its great because its your favourite pub.
-
Only read the first few posts on this thread which basically supports the theory why Clubs, players, agents, media and all the other hangers- on are winners and the supporters the losers. A sewer sport that people cannot help but spend on. Give the bastards an empty stadium, THEY MIGHT GET THE ****ING MESSEGE.
-
I we do anything other than struggle this coming season, I will present Kat with a bunch of flowers, naked in the centre circle prior to kick off at the final home game.
-
Easy, the ones we sell want to leave, the ones we want to buy (mostly) don't want to come and be part of this crock of sh1t.
-
Appalling show of commitment from our players

As far as the board of SFC is concerned it is a case of " Nero fiddled as Rome burned " -
" We have had some of the top managers in Europe banging on our door ". No pressure on now then Ralph ? Just wait for some home grown failure / cheap manager appointment, hope I am wrong but I fear I wont be.
-
You have just been appointed Southamptons new manager

Ground share with Pompey to reduce costs, and loan them Gaston and capt sparrow if they still don't fancy playing for us. Also lend them as many of the youth players to give them first team experience and help to foster better relations with our dear rivals.
