To be honest that decision was probably no more stupid than the majority of the ones made by the board of Saints this season. No doubt the monkey offered far more entertainment as well.

Can see the " we don't want an unhappy player around the club " bollox being trotted out very soon.

Makes no difference if Palace are on the beach because Saints are on the mortuary slab.

Would love to see a VAR league table ( if one exists ) of all the decisions for and against each team ( rightly or wrongly ) that lot would be miles ahead.

Who leaves if relegated ? Possibly up to 10K of SR,s paying customers.

It will be done and dusted by then,and nobody running this club saw it coming.

Can't help thinking that it was all a hell of a lot better then,in all ways.

What the hell would that lot cost in today's market ? Proper players playing proper football in a proper,entertaining environment. Those days are long gone.

Indeed,however life is a plethora of options.

Southampton football club look like they are fulfilling their obligation in laying on a football match. And nothing else seems to matter.
