  1. Weekend - Red EP Wavves - Life Sux EP St Vincent - Strange Mercy ....are my choices for today
  2. That Iceage album is grand. I just got the new Wilco record, "The Whole Love" which is more of the same (i.e. excellent, semi-experimental Americana) from one of the very few bands who seldom, if ever, let me down. I am also listening to Das Racist - Relax Blitzen Trapper - American Goldwing Fugazi - In On The Kill Taker
  3. Neuchatel Xamax must have the worst current chair/owner type, seeing as he has threatened to kill his players and sacked the entire management set up and backroom staff, details here: http://www.wsc.co.uk/component/option,com_kunena/Itemid,73/func,view/catid,27/id,554914
  4. They played over The Saints on the weekend, and I could hear them clear as a bell where I live (Millbrook Towers). And of course they played this tune twice, followed the first time by a "When I was just a little boy....." which then became a "We hate Pompey" chant. The Skore are ace, they will be playing down the Old Farmhouse next sunday for their ska all-dayer which should be mighty fun.
  5. The funniest thing here is the fact that someone called The Kraken is calling out a Dalek, all we need now is Matt Smith to turn up and it would be a rip-roaring episode of Doctor Who. But on topic, there is a guy who lives in my block of flats who has exactly the same ridiculous views as Dalek - i.e. a crazed sense of panic and despair that we are not making any signings. In fact, yesterday I bumped into him and he said to me something along the lines of "Fontaine blah blah blah blah Adkins needs to do better blah blah blah we need more signings blah blah blah". I was going to ask how Nige can possibly do any better than five games played, five wins out of five, but then I just decided to ignore him because he is a mental case amoeba-brained buffoon.

    Guly

Dude when you drive a Honda Jazz like me - any Porsche looks nice. I bet his fuel economy is not a patch on my motor, mind.

    Guly

He looked round at me and smiled. Had a similar encounter with Jose Fonte the other day, opposite "Buon Gusto" restaurant. This time I shouted "Jose Fonte baby!" and he gave me a half-hearted thumbs up. He was driving a nondescript silver luxury saloon vehicle. I will keep you guys updated should I have any more brushes with vehicular Saints stars.
  8. Action Bronson - Bon Appetit....*****! - mixtape from new-ish Queens MC who really shone on the recent Wu Tang "Legendary Weapons" album. He is a big white fella who works as a chef in the real world...so his rhymes are full of food references and metaphors. He also sounds a bit like Ghostface and Kool G Rap, which is ace. His album proper is super too, called "Dr Lecter". Well worth checking out. Ferrari Boyz - mindless rap fun from Wacka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne involved as exec producer, some typically ri-donk-ulous beats from Lex Luger Hudson Mohawke - Satin Panthers - more dubsteppy breaks from up and coming Glaswegian craftsman. Would love to hear someone rap over some of his beats. Ghostpoet - Peanut Butter Blues & Melancholy Jam - trippy, dubstep enthused, almost Gil Scott Heron-y stuff, best listened to late at night

    Guly

Was stuck in a traffic jam on West Quay Road yesterday and Guly was in the lane next to me. Gave him a little wave. Was driving a nice Porsche Panamera.
  10. Whaaaaaa? He created two of the three goals, dude!
  11. How can anyone say he isn't suitable for centre half in this division? Seem to remember he did pretty bloddy well the last time he played for us at this level - in fact he was player of the season, I believe. That said, pie in the sky thread, dude will never come back to Saints, uh-uh.
  12. I had a hands-on with Skyward Sword recently at a Nintendo event I was covering - you can find it at godisageek.com !
  13. His father is called Dido. As someone previously mentioned, I think someone on here is Havenaar laugh.
  14. Mine was watching us come back from a goal down to spank Bournemouth 3-1. I was sat in the home end, and had to keep my decorum but couldn't contain myself when Lambo smashed the free kick, and had a bit of a celebrate. A steward then came up the steps and - very politely, I thought - said "Come on now son, you've had your day out" and asked me to leave. I did a bit of a swaggering walk past the Cherries fans, got called a fat bastard a few times, but was just buzzing and left their Kwik Save St Marys-lite a very happy man.
  15. Cheers for this. Always kept an eye out for him for some strange reason, also his Wiki profile pic makes him look like Mark Lanegan.
  16. I reckon Guly is going to have a cracking season.
  17. I see that Aaron Hunt was in the starting lineup for Bremen, have heard good things about him, how did he play? I believe he could have qualified for England much like Owen Crockgreaves, but decided to play for Germany.
  18. Wu Lyf - Go tell Fire To The Mountain Harlem - Hippies Wugazi - 13 Chambers (an awesome mash up of Wu Tang tracks and Fugazi's The Argument)
  19. I heard on the radio yesterday that Gradel may be on his way, with Swansea and a French team apparently interested. Lets hope that he gets flogged before the season kicks off, he would be a goal threat for Leeds. Sure someone was linked with Snodgrass as well.
  20. Gil Heron, Gil Scott-Heron's dad, was the first black footballer to play for Celtic.
  21. I thought it was Seaborne who had a coin shaped head. Can remember someone ranting on here about his "20p head", made me laugh, the ridiculousness of it all.
  22. lol, Safari - sign him up on strength of his name alone.
  23. Lambert looks like he has dropped some weight.
  24. Best Coast today....and now the farkin sun has gone out.
  25. Listening to My Morning Jacket's new one in the car today. And the best of Otis Redding. What a talent that fella was, and so young when he died.
