  1. That flip-chart message was definitely written by Nigel - I have a photo of one of his earlier messages - exactly the same 'font'. Just love the man.......
  2. Plenty of tickets available still - waiting list for official coach being taken - need 30 more people to fill it or else I won't be able to go!! Come on, swallow your pride and go by coach, its not as bad as you think. Call the TO on 02380 711912 as quick as you can (by lunchtime today) to book your seat for the tastiest match of the season so far................
  3. And the only clock on view was permanently hidden by numpty steward standing plumb in front of it.
  4. For starters the club could at least allow the flag onto the pitch before kick-off. Leicester had a giant shirt which was carried out and held by six or eight youngsters. Folding up the flag was supervised by an adult. It would be a great opportunity for young Saints fans to get on to the pitch, perhaps as much kudos as being a club mascot? Less embarrassing than kicking that stupid ball. Most people who funded this flag have never seen it. I have - it's impressive - should at least get out onto the pitch.
  5. And despite several complaints row W Chapel still need umbrellas cos of leaks from corroding roof.
  6. I can only think that Hampshire Police have a hidden agenda? Choice of - 1) They want to discredit football fans 2) They want the overtime 3) They want to test their 'riot techniques' Having followed Saints (home and away) for many years, and having been kept in at many clubs - notably Pyortsmouth, Leicester and Millwall, I can't believe they still let the away fans out at the final whistle at St Marys. I reckon the Police could be charged with inciting trouble? Why doesn't the club INSIST the away fans (of certain clubs) be kept in like we are when on our travels?? But then, what do I know - I've only been a season ticket holder for 40 years.
  7. No add-on tonight, just called TO to confirm this.
  8. Good news Mike - well done. I'd like to know the cost of a 6' x 3', or even 8' x 4' banner. I have a design ready. We have a huge (ex FLYBE) blank red wall in front of our seats (behind the disabled seating) in Chapel, I did a big 'Danke schon Markus' banner last year but it went along with all the other tributes to Markus.
  9. Sorry to nit-pick - BUT - renewal in the Chapel for over 65's is 255 = £11 per game - those over 60's who are now re-classified as 'adults' will have to pay £380 = £16 odd per game This virtually doubles what they paid last season. Of course it is still good value, but to double the price????? Not good. Maybe someone can find out how many 60 - 64 yr olds fall into this trap? And how many of them have a 40 year history of supporting Saints through thick and thin? I reckon the majority??
  10. SAVE UP TO £220 ON WATCHING SAINTS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP WHEN YOU RENEW YOUR SEASON TICKET. That's how the season ticket information is headed (in bold) when announcing the new prices..... So WHO precisely is able to RENEW their season ticket and make this sort of saving? They go on to say that's the price difference against paying per match, so it is NOT exactly 'season ticket renewal', is it? Or have I missed something? My husband's seat has gone up by £187 (96.99%). And he's still got three years til he gets his pension.
  11. To be re-classified from senior over 60, to adult makes renewal of same seat a 97% increase. That's MY beef.... + 97%.......
  12. Sorry - this is a bit off-piste.... Bought my 'once-a-season' programme today - just looking through it now - page 34 (where are they now?) - Ron Davies - it says he passed away in 2007. Can Tim pop round and make sure he's ok?
  13. Ticket office are taking names for possible extra Bingo bus - cut-off midday today. Cost and times unknown.
  14. Any songs for d'Urso? He cost our travelling fans about £9,000 on Boxing Day - and that's just the official coaches. Spoilt my Christmas - no food or drink for the nine hours sat on a boring coach.
  15. The ticket office is open til 4pm - and Cortese on hol for a month - how the other half live?
  16. Anyone else done a double-take on the headline on back of Echo? POSH WIN WOULD MAKE IT SAINTS' BEST HOME RUN SINCE 1993 Or was it just me...
  17. Markus - you came nearly too late, and have left far too soon. RIP It seems the tributes outside SMS will be removed today as they spread to turnstile areas. To be boxed up and sent to his family.
  18. Just for info - renewed mine on 4th, money didn't come out til a week later - June 11th. So maybe a bit of leeway towards end of the month?
  19. My "Danke schon Nicola und Markus" will get an airing. (Complete with umlaut of course). Hopefully up behind Chapel goal - but it depends if the jobsworth steward is on duty - it hides two letters of Flybe.com ! Should be ok next season when sponsorship gone.
  20. Overall not impressed with our National Stadium.... View from Row 14 in 135 was same as being in front three rows at SMS - would have understood if they'd been £24, but paid £34. Goal net obscured considerable part of pitch and pitch only looked 30 yds long but very wide. Ladies loos were 50% blocked and unusable - remained like that throughout match - where were the toilet attendants? Never checked by any one, else they'd have locked them off. Perhaps they were all outside in tabards refusing to answer sensible questions like 'how do I get out of here?' from people being nearly crushed by the sheer volume of people pushing in opposite directions. It took 40 minutes to get out from turnstile area to bottom of Dagmar Road. No indications or signage to show where exits down from the outside railed walkway were. And those blokes in tabards just looked over your head if you spoke to them. All tempered by an excellent win, an astounding display of Saints support and a trophy for the cabinet
  21. Anyone not in red, or red'n'white, should not be going to Wembley. But they could do a lot worse than going into ASDA and checking out their £6 red polo shirts - decent quality - and a nice black and white stripe detail on the collar?
  22. Of course - I've got the beige hat on - simply to keep the floodlights out of my line of sight. Behind Chapel goal. Previous Markus Liebherr banners ousted by steward . - when Flybe fly the roost - WATCH THIS SPACE. Unless Nicola decides I have to move????
  23. SO - did anyone see my - 'danke schon - Nicola und Markus' banner on the gallery from Hartlepool match. Usually get told to take banners down by jobsworth steward but he wasn't on duty tonight.
  24. Spoke to tkt office lunchtime today - the final batch will be sent out tomorrow. Courier to Royal Mail, and then we're in the capable hands/greasy mitts of the postal service.
