I cannot believe the lack of loyalty shown by the majority of the posters on here to the man that stood by the club when the dropped down to league 1. Kelvin Davis should be the number 1 choice keeper and for the club and fans to behave in the way that they have is so disappointing, Having been selected as the Championship and League one Keeper over the last two years it should be obvious that he is the man for the job. Look at the facts from the start of the season. We faced the top three teams at the end of last season in the first 4 games and the other team were a form team, everyone agreed that we needed to strengthen the defense especially the center halves but this did not happen (other than Cline who looks a great signing) straight away. Kelvin was up against some of the best strikers in the world with what has turned out to be the worst defense in the Premiership (no surprises there though as the signings were lacking unless you count an unknown to most Japanese defender!) and even saved two penalties as well!! A heavy defeat against Arsenal, where he had no chance with many of the goals conceded (two of them being own goals from his defenders) due to the poor quality defending against a performance reckoned to be one of the best in years by Arsenal fans, Kelvin is dropped for a game where we had a good chance of doing well against another struggling team in Aston Villa. It was no surprise to me that we one this as their main striker had failed to find the net in a Premiership game since February (although he managed it against us!!). However, Gazzaniga took the plaudits for his performance which was average at best. He then conceded goals mainly down to his positioning in the following games he was selected for and then dropped for the fans Saviour Mr Boruc who showed what he is capable of on Saturday!! It was only earlier this year when we played at Leeds that Kelvin provided the promotion winning performance of the season ( I truly believe if we had lost that game then we would still be in the Championship and I was there to witness it!) and here we are 8 games in and Kelvin being treated like this by the club and the posters on here, wake up people the goals being conceded are as a result of the poor defending and not always the goal keeper. Get Kelvin back NOW!

It really sickens me to read the uneducated drivel coming from uneducated idiots on this forum! Saints are now in a league where the long punt up field is a risk as it is important to keep possession in this league as you will be punished if you lose it, I am sure that the tactic is to play it out from the back and that this has been worked on in training, however the back four have to want the ball and make themselves available to receive it and this is not always happening! Keepers make errors ask Robert Green, Reina and Chech!! We have played three games and two of these against two of the best teams in Europe if not the world and given a good account of ourselves so shut up whining and get behind the team. Oh and remember Kelvin was voted the Championship keeper of the year last year which in my book makes him more than adequate for Southampton Nobba's

Mr Holloway is a small man in both size and mind, his comments show him to be very insecure as he constantly makes remarks about Blackpool deserving to be in the Premiership ................ maybe deep down he knows they are shouldn't be there? However we will be playing them in the Championship next season ............. you heard it here first!!!
