  6. Had a bit of a chat with dougal and he wrote this... I suspect most of the stories are exaggerated over time...as for people not seeing me, I ain't gone anywhere! still live in the same house with the same phone number. Always listen to Saints on Radio Solent, but must say haven't been to a game for years. The seating thing put me off, used to like going for as few pints & just turning up with my mates, standing with the same people each week. Expensive too now!! He is happy for people to get in touch , anyone who wants to , e mail me soton67@hotmail.com
  7. anyone see dougal here?
  8. That was probably colin tomkins , i went to football with him and timmy vokes , though a bit later.
  9. I was thinking about him after reading some posts on here, always stood back of the lower archers near the segregating fence , he must have been over 7 ft!
  10. osher williams and tim coak...priceless
  11. One of my favourite dell matched was a 3-0 win v Everton in the snow with an orange ball, graham baker scored a beauty and the late Austin Hayes was brought down for a penalty. gordon lee the everton manager was not happy , he wanted the game called off. Football then was a much poorer quality but more affordable and a better crack all round and i would go back to that straight away.
  12. Jim ( offer it to a coachload of leeds at service station redpath before vanishing leaving everyone elso to it) redpath R.I.P.
  13. Tenby or the nearby lydstep caravan park with private bay. been there twice, love it.
  14. Cult hero ? what about patrick colleter's near career ending tackle on poyet?
  15. Scott minto deserves a mention, he works as a volunteer ferrying old folk about in a minibus. as for the most down to earth i've personally met that would be gordon watson
  16. Same here, probably because he was my first ' hero' as a kid stood in the milton. Then it was steve williams, had the number 4 stitched into the back of my admiral kit when i was 10 :-) then le tiss, would include keegan but he p issed off after only 2 seasons.
  17. Kev if you mean viaplay, i've spoken with them and they will no longer be showing every saints game.
