Alps, You wonder why people don't discuss things in a sensible manner? Just my opinion but you do start the most stupid threads, what do you expect? We are in one hell of a strong position and If AOC and AL are not fit then they won't play simples. We have options and maybe Forte/N'guessan may turn out to be hero's. I think some peple have written them off far too early. A slight problem with the bus last night but thanks to Plymouth's team of "internationals" we have 10 days to get it fixed and back on the road for the final assault. Control the controlables :-)

Lawrie Mac/Le tiss/Franny You were all legends for the club and all Saints fans will be eternaly grateful. But that was in the past (great memories) but you are not part of the future of the club. Get over it! You had good careers thanks to this club and no doubt were renumerated very well indeed I am sure. I too have given this club great service in a different way but my contribution to this club has cost me big time 35 years home and many away games (cant bear to think what that would add up to). Despite what I feel is fantastic service I would not expect the club to give me freebies/parking spaces or to leech off the club in any form etc. You will forever live in my memories but not my future dreams. Please if you are genuine fans and really do care about the club draw a line under it and support the future.

Agree with this. Definately lacked pace up front against ManUre. Can't see this happening, doesn't fit the Adkins/Cortese plan of players to take us up the next couple of levels. High risk imo in terms of fitness/hunger/team spirit.

FFS Where have you seen them play? How often? Can't believe there are so many people on this site slagging off players before they have even had a look in. Both players are very highly rated by the club. Doble has played at international level. But of course all the wrist slashin tossers on here know better.

Watching the FA Cup on telly as a kid was what got me into football. There were very few other live matches in those days. How people can feel it's a distraction I find unbelievable. It's part of football and all clubs have to deal with it. The idea of any Saints team going out to lose an fa cup match so they can concentrate on the league fills me with horror. The distraction arguement does'nt really come it to it. Its like saying the oldham game was a distraction for the Notts Co game. Different competition I know but still just another game. We may well end up with bookings/injuries yet we may not that's life. Dave Beasant once got injured dropping a tomato sauce bottle on his foot iirc, things happen. Its the 4th round of the cup, Its the Manc scum at home lets just enjoy the bus ride but expect a few punctures ahead. The Brighton bus left a bit earlier than ours but I reckon ours is best equipped for the long distance. FFS COYR

Those ****s firing flares into the stand at the Birmingham v Villa game last night probably didn't help us much.

To be fair Badger, Barnard took a while to settle in when he came as we were playing Lambert and Connoly at the time. Given a decent run in the side there is nothing to suggest Guly would not be as good as Barny. Would Barnard have taken those chances in his first few months here whilst not starting regularly. Possibly not.

We caught the 19.10 to Salisbury to be greeted by about 15 Police officers and 2 riot vans at Salisbury station. No idea what happened though.

Utter garbage imo. The first sign of any pressure on him and he would run a mile. Much as I respect Keegan I can't see anything positive he would bring us at this stage. We have no idea how any of the mentioned candidates would do but like it or not NC is here to stay for the foreseeable future, he has set up the structure and backroom staff at the club how HE invisages would be best for the long term stability of the club and will appoint who he feels is the best qualified man that will also fit in with his structure. We have no say unfortunately but I hope whatever happens we can give them our full support.
