Agree with you Chez. I think the fact is that we don't need to sell AOC, but he as made it clear he wants to go to the prem asap so not a lot we can do about that. No point having an unhappy player behind the scenes rocking the bus. I trust NC to get the best possible deal for Saints.

To be fair Chez if it wasn't for Cortese then Marcus would never have been aware of us . Yes it was Marcus's money but you could argue also that Cortese saved us by selling Marcus the dream. Don't personaly think its an extortionate amount. Probably equivelant to our wages for the top players.

Absolutely spot on imo. Clubs seem to be looking for ridiculous fees for relatively average players. £2.5m for CMS!! a very good 3rd div striker! Maybe we are looking abroad to strengthen. Cortese seems to have a few good contacts and already got us Papa and Guly. Maybe we are still waiting on the outcome of any AOC move to determine budget and priorities. A lot of maybe's but everything that Cortese has done since coming to the club does not show any hint of lack of ambition. Far too early to be panicking.

It is possible that players we are looking at are under contract until 30th June! Signings may have been agreed but it's not NC's style to announce things until they are concrete ie 1st July (Isn't that also when season tickets go on sale!). Can't believe there is still so much negativity.
