  1. I have just seen Mr Popes original email . I see he wrote to all 92 clubs. so apologies re "what is your real agenda? "I will be communicating the full response from the head of HR further via the media..." perhaps a tad harsh. apart from the bit about using the media. As his real agenda is ensuring clubs pay the living wage. I am sure the club will do what is morally correct but that is purely a matter for Saints FC not us or the media I would be interested to see what all the other 91 clubs responses were and has he spoken to the other regional papers about other clubs not paying the living wage?
  2. So Mr Popeandrew what is your real agenda? "I will be communicating the full response from the head of HR further via the media..." A sensible person would normally debate this with the organisation concerned , even if you do not like the answers received No instead you run to the Media know doubt you are anti Saints and want to bring bad publicity to Saints I hope your doing this research in your own time and not as an elected Councillor ?? Also does not your Council outsource some of the Services it provides to the public? PS can this not go into the Lounge , as it not really Saints related but more about wider issues of the living wage Don't get me wrong. Im very much in favour of the living wage but this should be discussed through negotiation not through the Media
  3. Milk Cup: Saints beat Liverpool in Coleraine semi-final Southampton defeat Liverpool to set up a Milk Cup Junior final against Right to Dream while Co Antrim face CSKA Moscow in the Premier decider. The Saints impressed in a 3-1 win over Liverpool at the Coleraine Showgrounds, with Jake Vokins bagging a double. Ghanaian side Right to Dream beat Co Antrim 2-0 in the other Junior semi. Co Antrim fared better in the Premier semi-finals, overcoming Real Sociedad 2-0 while Club America beat CSKA Moscow on penalties after a scoreless draw. Matthew Shevlin scored both goals as Co Antrim defeated Real Sociedad at the Riada Stadium in Ballymoney. Shevlin met Ryan Nimick's cut back to fire in a second-half opener and he added the second just over a minute later. A classy run and finish saw Shevlin slot past keeper Inaki Auzmendi with a composed finish. Mexican team Club America won their penalty shoot-out 5-3 against CSKA Moscow in Limavady. An own goal from Andrew Jackson put Southampton ahead against Liverpool and it was 2-0 at half-time thanks to Jonathan Afalabi's bullet header from a corner. Jake Vokins drilled past keeper Louie Molden to make it 3-0 before Neco Williams netted for the Anfield lads from a goalmouth scramble. Right to Dream defeated Co Antrim in Portstewart and they will face the Saints in Friday night's final at the Ballymena Showgrounds.
  4. A good night for saints and to top it off our youngsters beat Liverpool in the milk cup semi final . Well done youngsters
  5. I have just heard that Rodgers has asked lovren if he fancies doing a player swop with us for caulker
  6. Baird The only reason it is a loan . is to give hope to MOPO of signing him as a replacement next season Toby is looking for pastures new next season . You heard it here first
  7. Alps , you have got to stop believing everything you read in the papers . My take is we were not in for this Chester fellow and we are trying to seal a deal with a n other player that the press has not picked up on . I also think the players agent is sort of prodding other clubs such as ourselves , by hinting that Chester wants to go to a decent club like saints and not WBA . But hey you know everything Alps The future would be so much brighter if you had been our manager , owner, CE etc etc, but sadly the club were short sighted and we missed out on such a charismatic star in you .
  8. I'm more worried about next years Scottish Elections . Labour will be completely wiped out up here . And it will be a total SNP country . Oh and Queen ***** is determined to have another referendum Asap . Labour needed the Scottish seats to give them strength . Sadly that has been lost and it doesn't matter who the next labour leader will be. Pompey are more likely to be successful again unlike the Labour Party
  9. My grandparents were very poor and lived on the breadline but under previous labour governments Wilson / Callaghan they were far worse off . The labour welfare state policies at the time did not help them. They had worked hard all there lives but revived little help apart from family and friends. Maybe under Blair and brown they might have been better off . We will never know as they both died before blair came to power But under old old labour regime . They got little or no support . Instead they just got on with their life's the best they could . They were proud people when they were alive Corbyn - no thank you .
  10. I wish he would change his picture, it shows him still wearing a Chelsea shirt
  11. If we are talking about players from Yesteryear then surely we should give Jimmy Case a chance to resurrect his career:o
  12. Why do we have posters who take great delight in criticises our players .i have a positive view but it does get a bit wearing some of you always finding fault in players
  13. ericofarabia re your post on Virgil How much would he cost? In Scotland he would cost 1.5 MacSchlongs
  14. Plastic. that made me laugh , Cheers Mate
  15. That's the way to say goodbye , with dignity and respect take note shaw, lallana, lovren and clyne Good luck for the future Morgan, we will miss you ( well I certainly will ) you have been a rock in our midfield and defence.
  16. I think this story is bull crap as well unless it's wingers attempt to do a late deal for Spider-Man
  17. I thought Morgan , said he would only go to a team playing CL footie , I don't realised Spurs had been given a place .
  18. Given all the defensive players United have or in the process of buying do you think they at loan Luke shaw back to us ? Do we want him back?
  19. Good to see we have other bids in . Hopefully somebody new in the next few days
  20. So are all the bed wetters going to apologise re the club ****ed up . Alpine Richmond et al ?
  21. I would ask Les , if he met Alpine in person during the current Austrian Tour Is he as big a k nob in real life as he is on this forum?
  22. Saintpatw It's you that needs a good slapping. What an arrogant cock you are coming on here. Your beloved Spurs will never be a big club . In your dreams maybe but that's all .
  23. Monk I assume you mean a saints official and not Spurs official ?
  24. A breaking news on sky , Spurs set to make a second bid for Matt Le Tissier , they have thrown in a free 4 week 5 star weight watchers break to get the Southampton star to sign at long last Macdonalds may take legal action if Spurs don't drop the 4 week health farm from the transfer fee
