Steve I cannot comment much about JP. clearly he doesnt have the tactical Nouse about shutting up games .. All he had to do yesterday was say. keep totally alert when the whistle goes for the second half, man mark and then start to take the game to the donnies. either the team didnt listen to his instructions or the forgot what he said. Im not sure a change of manager will have instant results. unless loew has one up his sleeves already? Ilike JP but he is so inept at his tactical instructions that I do believe his position has become untenable.

Lets see if there is an annoucement in the stock exchange tomorrow morning or within a couple of days. I wouldnt be suprised if Lowe and certainly cowan walked away in disgust with what happened yesterday.

Hypo We only have one side of what happen re Dave Armstrong and I want to hear both sides of the argument first. not a one sided event. The times I have had to investigate allegations made by somebody who claims they have been wronged and only to find out they were the perpertrator. If I take your analagy. then those that state they were wronged in the first instance will always be right. Surely not Again I try to clarify the point I was making. Dave shuld have left it off the airways but he acted like a child who had had his teddy thrown in the corner. Clearly something angered him but his comments on the airways were far from helpful in an already tense atmosphere. I hope um pahars is able to shed some light on what actually occurred and if the steward in hospitality was out of order then the club should do something about it.

my thoughts entirely. but who would want to come to manage the club with the current board in place . It will be somebody who is desparate for work and not somebody who really wants to progress their managerial career sadly

Just seen another thread about David Armstrong Seems he is now calling for a boycott of the club. David can I ask you not to get embroiled in this matter. I agree it needs to be resolved. but I will lose all respect for you start rounding up lynch mobs to unsettle saints even further. Mob rule is not the answer. we need a totally clean sweep at board room level to take this club forward. if this means relegation and administration then so be it. I will always support saints no matter what. What has always been important to me is what and how we are playing on the field but all I seem to hear about is how to get rid of lowe etc etc. What we should be doing is encouraging the team as much as possible not slating them week after week. Our away fans are brilliant and I enjoy going more to away games now than home games. Its fun and enjoyable and the crack amongst the fans is fantastic

Offix I am not spoiling for a fight with you at I am certainly not messing with semantics. but there is a difference in being asked to leave or being thrown out.. Im dealing with a similar case where x was claiming they were thrown out of a property (Their perception is they were physically man handled out of the building) to several others who witnessed the incident and state that x was asked to leave the property. This was done in a polite manner. So in my world there is a difference between being thrown out and being asked to leave. My main issue with dave is he should have dealt with this with far more dignity than he did. instead of venting his anger on the airways.

Thanks Steve It would be good to see the other side of the story. It would be indeed be a bad day for the club if Dave was speaking with some old friends and was just told to leave. That is out of order and the steward needs to be spoken to but I suspect there is more to this story than meets the eye. By the way Dave Armstrong works for radio Hampshire not the club. but my point was he shouldnt have not added fuel to the fire about blabbing re his alledged treatment. If Dave was employed by the club , the last thing any employee would do would be to constantly criticise his bosses. that con be construed as gross misconduct and a sackable offence. As he isnt employed by the club in any capacity I guess he can say what he likes providing it isnt libellous etc

And kept on about it on the radio at the same time as throwing digs in about the chairman during the second half. he should have have been more discrete with his views about what ever happened not balling out over they airways as if somebody had stolen his dummy. Theres a professional way to deal with this situation and a childish way. Sadly Dave took the childish way . He was clearly intimating to the listeners that it was lowe who had asked him to leave. a man that was even at the game today. Im not sure who has determined that calling someone a raghead is deemed as racist. Who ever it is a bloody idiot. Perhaps the army should issue every squaddy a yellow card to advise him that before he shoots a would be suicide bomber . I just had a look at the pictures on the BarnsleyFC link Apart from kelvin none of our players wore gloves , threeof there players did. okay they may suffer from raynards, but be had three players wearing short sleeves, size, holmes and surman. The only barnsley player was righter and he was wearing gloves. Based on that analysis does that mean us softee southerners are now harder than our northern brethren?

It was a brilliant result. I was a tad concerned, with the changes to the side injuries, Peirce and Cork leaving, Skacel out Paterson Suspended. that that the team might struggle to play as a cohesive unit. But its clear Tim's optomism has paid off. Sounds like the new guys have fitted in well, plus the return of Saga have added a lot lot more aggression to the team. Well done lads. Onwards and upwards

Yet another excellent well thought out balanced post Frank's Cousin many of the points you make , i totally agree with. Its hard being a saints Fan in the current climate. so much hostillity amongst fans on forums. Im not sure its cascaded onto the terraces yet. Everyone seemed quite chirpy inside St Mary's during the Reading Game. The real hostility I was exposed to was at the agm a few days earlier. It was embarrisng being there to say people swiping at each other, whether I will tell my dad type antics , or people moaning about pictures being taken down. Then people walking out en masse. God that was so embarrassed by that event alone. I had gone to hear how we were going to get out of the mess the club now finds itself in not the playground squabbles that went on. Both sides As for Leon well any respct I had for him has now evapourated . I would like to have seen him show more dignity to those present. but he didnt. His antics confirmed my impression of him when I had previously spoken to him. Oh and Lowe was equally inept with his flippent responses The club needs some form of ceasefire between warring factions to plan a strategic plan to get Southampton FC put of the mess we are in, not all this mud slinging. If that were to happen perhaps somebody ot there will make a sensible bid for the club and wilde, Lowe crouch and Co can ride off into the doistance never to be seen in the club boardroom ever again.
