Jack wiltshire on loan to us Arsne Wenger has said he is going out on loan by the end of the month
-
I see your point avenue re wotton. but with hammond out and now spiderman we do not have too many options. Although I feel quietly confident a new midfielder is days away from signing for us. Meanwhile we need to get behind the starting 11 whoever they are It was really good to hear the 3000 saints fans cheering the lads on. Wish I had been there. may try and get to the game on the 9th . COYRS

Thomas had a nice set of stud marks on his abdo. The dons player should have got booked for that. so the more I consider the facts the more I think the ref was a homer.

We're doomed Mr Mannering Who says so Pike. Arizona and Alpine In that case Pike we are doomed:)

The referee as has already metioned was clueless but the linesman in the second half was equally bad. When Antonio had the ball by the corner flag. he was being fouled repeatdly by two defenders, guess which way the foul went. even the commentators made comments he got it wrong. We should have subbed Antonio for Papa at about 7o minutes. it would have took the sting out of the dons attack and pushed them back into a defensive mode. As for you avenue. I thought wotton had an excellent game. he may not be the classiest of midfielders but he does get stuck in and closes down their attack very quickly. I see a similarity toi Brian O'Neil but then your probably far to young to remember him. Still they need to score twice to reach Wembly some how I can not see that happening. Also come the 9th of Feb we will have a new midfielder on our books, lets hope he isnt cup tied

I think wotton does a good job in midfield. He is one of those players not gifted with flare but closes down and hassles the opposition. he is a player not too disimilar to Nick holmes, Brian O'neil, Barry Horne et al Now if any of those three were playing in the team today. you can bet your bottom dollar that the negative tribe on here (those that like to single out a player for grief) would also be equally negative about those three. Im pleased with the point at Millwall bit disappointed they let a goal in so soon after scoring . but to be fair i predicted a draw.

To be fair CB , the jobs the Council you refer to are not being designed by the Coucil. Its is ring fenced money coming from central government. You should direct your angst at cental government and all the quangos it have set up. You will find that these jobs have a short lif span , maybe two years at the most. Its frustrating for HR people to find new jobs for these folk when the contract comes to an end , Not so bad if its only a one year funded post. two years plus then it becomes problematic.

Dell Days your a bit behind with that news. the government has already started to cut service numbers. it started at the back end of 2008. They are hitting the Territorial army big time. especially the medical services. If your a major and you don't have relevent trauma care or surgical skills, then they are not getting an extension to their TA careers. So if they work ina care capacity , pharmaceutical environment, then they have either left or will have been served their notice papers. The medical services are struggling as it is with out doing away with even more staff. Oh unlike the football side of this forum I am in the know on this

Lowe didnt get ST Mary's there were lots of people involved. Rupes was lucky that the St Mary's site was handed to him on a plate. but credit where credit is due. He did have big hand (Well Andrew Cowans ) did have a big impact on the stadium being built.

Franks Cousin "but i have also heard that alot of this had to do with political ****** between Southampton and Eastleigh Councils - Is there a definitive version of events that assess the pros and cons of the proposals without the emotional baggage or bias that can be assessed anywhere" As someone who was very much involved in the say yes to stoneham campaign. I still have documents etc on this lurking somewhere in my attic. MY understanding was that the stoneham site was indeed about a spat between Eastleigh, Southampton and Hampshire County Council Eastlieghs Davies Dear (From Wales) the a prospective liberal Democrat MP was vehemently opposed to the stoneham project at all costs. he stated to me and others when we met him that he'd rather see Cross country introduced across the fields , He enjoyed cross country running and had no time for football. Aligned to his plan to stop the project were a group of professional activists who suddenly came on the scene. Not even from the area. I had quite a spat with her about the fact she didnt live in anywhere near hampshire so how an earth could she be entering such a debate about stoneham. Her and her gang were professional activist . whose campaigns included the newbury and winchester by passes. Another issue that raised its ugly head was about the Multi plex cinema not gaining planning permission at Hedge end a couple of years earlier(Southampton Vetoed this) I think some pof the hedge end boundaries fell in Eastligh Borough councils territory. I will need to get into my atttic to confirm this. Anyway Eastliegh got a strop on especially when uncle rupes wanted to add on a multiplex to stoneham The rest is History , A few years later Eastliegh built a cinema complex on the old pirrelli site Somebody can correct if I have got the wrong site. But to answer Franks comment , the planning permission was basically turned down due to the political infighting between eastliegh, Southampton and Hampshire County Council and nothing to do with Uncle Rupes. I will did out any other relevent information I have when I clamber into my attic.

I agree Thorpe. I have watched the Cove and a similar documentary. While im not into all this liberal minded fluffy issues that abound at present. clamatic change. carbon foot print etc etc I find the slaughter of the dolphins extremely distasteful and evil.

OK So I have to admit defeat on this climatic change stuff> Having been greatly influenced by the nice fluffy liberals on this list and TV experst on the subject. Seemingly I can no longer eat Beef or Pork as the the methane etc produced by their farting is a major contributory factor in damaging the Worlds Carbon Footprint. Sheep and Chickens are no longer to farmed for food as they have the same human rights as humans a right to life, no oppression etc and allowed to die naturally. So thats Beef , Pork, Lamb and Chicken off the menu. Ah theres fish I can eat. No they are of the menu as the world Fish stocks are sadly depleted. I just hope that the farmers diversify and are able to grow enough, cucumbers , tomatoes aubergines etc to keep us all fed. And there was I thinking that 2010 was going to be a good year. Right off to Tescos to buy veggie burghars, hopefully they are still in existence.

He already upset the rest of the squad and they have given him the cold shoulder. It was ice while it lasted

Anybody watching the new series of rear, kill eat on BBC 3 Six people chosen to see how to rear live stock, kill it and the eat it It contains two vegans , one who is so opposed to meat its unreal. he's one of these climatic freaks and so far up his own back side. Anyway monday the programme focus on cows. This guy said we should not mass produce the amount of cows we do as they are seriously damaging the climate. He also stated that cows should be allowed to die naturally like humans. Do mass produced cows really damage the environment or is this just another lie put round by supposed climatic experts. Watch tonights programme , the six will be dealing with Pigs.

An interesying debate unfolding on here I was wondering about this guy, I don't have much sympathy for him, He got caught with 4 KGs of Heroin. worth £250k . The Chinese population are not that rich. so consider the impact on the poor souls who would have been recipients of the heroin he was peddling. The guy was 57 a declared bankrupt and would have known the risks he was taking in China especially as like singapore they have zero tolerance to drugs. The questions I would like to know include was he a drug user. If he had Bi Polar and erratic behaviour patterns , why wasnt he known to the authorities or have our immigration officers bungled yet again.

Chance of a signing before the loan window closes?
Viking Warrior replied to Ivan Katalinic's 'tache's topic in The Saints
I am not sure we need any loans at this stage , we have a huge squad and need to shift a number of players out, The smaller squad would lead to a greater competition for places. Even Sagger would start to fight for a place if he new he was close to playing first team football but as he isnt , he will not go that extra mile meanwhile he will happily pick up his salary week in week out
