  1. Seems Mr Glum is now making political statements drawing an analagy with his fiscal policy. How can mr Glum say that the whole country is concerned about rooneys minor ankle injury. I could give a toss about rooneys Ankle injury. Typical politician, On anther note how comes rooney got a two car police escort to the hospital. who is picking up that tab. moan u or the tax payer.
  2. Thanks Chocco Box I didnt go to silverspoons , I chose the green man option, but a mate was in silverspoons he wasnt impressed and just left after a short while to enjoy the pre and post match entertainment else where
  3. Not moaning I thoroughly enjoyed my day out and was bussing for about three days afterwards. Its just IO get a tad ****ed of hearing Illingsworth claiming to be the voice of the fans etc etc. Yes he supports saints but he cannot positively echo how I feel about the club and Im older than him Bit like Mr Brown stating this morning that everybody in the country feels for Rooneys ankle injury and the country's finances. Well Mr Brown I don't give toss about rooneys ankle the same way i don't give a toss of illingsworths claims as being a saints fan spokeman
  4. 5-1 A lee barnard double and morgan to score if he plays
  5. Poor old Illingsworth Always the victim not the Baddie His apology is pathetic. He used the toilets first and they had just been cleaned. as for the food if food was to be provided how come he regales that those present could have gone to burger vans and takeaways "Some have claimed that there was no food available, this is untrue, right outside the door of the venue was a large stall selling burgers etc and attached to the venue was a takeaway, whilst this was not exclusive to those in Silverspoons, it was only yards away". And now to appease fans he is to offer a discount on shirts. Is that not a case you could sell them Nick and now you have dumbed then in the bargain basement bin Nick stop being the victim and take some ownership of what happened for a change
  6. The COYR party I like their fiscal policies!!!!!
  7. I havent been to many games this season due to expense airfares and time needed to get to games. I wish I could attend more games but despite this I am a season ticket holder.
  8. So the trust had 834 members , the figure seems similar to the claims of Chorley and Co having that many SISA members. I would have thought out of curtesy that the Trust would have communicated their demise to its members and subscribers. I was asked to become a member but chose not to as I had a number of shares. At least Mark Fry sent me a letter albeit a terse letter telling me my shares were worth nothing. Im with SOR on this they should at least issue a press release as to what happened to funds etc. Did they not have bucket collections at games at one time before the Saints aid came into exsistence?
  9. view from the top you have your opinion but your comments are very offensive about Derry You should make a public apology for your offensive comments. but I doubt you have the balls to do so
  10. Derry is right and you don't need coaching badges to see that View from the top there are occassions when I wonder at some of the tactic we use especially 1-5-4 . we are more fluent when we play 442, but if AP is using 154 for defensive tactical purposes then he should also explore the wide areas more frequently. Its as much a defensive tactic as just saturating the midfield. I like AP but sometimes I wish he was more adveturous with his tactics. Maybe next year once he is a ble to bring some more midfielders in the same mould as morgan
  11. Strange Priorities According to media reports, Unite is planning to raise £700,000 in a 'cash call' on its membership to keep the British Airways strike going. Now this is a very odd thing to do - because super-sized unions like Unite are very wealthy organisations indeed - with tens of millions of pounds in their piggy banks. So much money in fact that they're able to give lots of it away - on a regular basis. £11 million has gone into Labour party coffers over the past five years - despite the fact that the great majority of ordinary Unite members are not even Labour supporters. The additional funds are being raised by a levy on Unite’s 3,000 branches - not individual members - but this is the members' money too - who's asking them how it should be spent? If trade unions like Unite got behind their members with all their resources - and stopped diverting huge sums to the Labour party - they'd be able to support their members properly in the event of a strike. By a strange coincidence just about half of Labour's front-bench team at Westminster are all members of Unite - so don't expect any rank and file rebellion to start from there.
  12. Ah ladysaint We should start a new thread on the lost sock phenomena. Someone somewhere is steaing millions of socks Perhaps we should start sa saints fans sock swap shop. I have one single red and whiite sock looking for a partner (Circa 2001) also have another lonely heart sock who seeks compatable female sock, must be right footed and likes to wear blue and yellow:rolleyes:
  13. I wish I had been at the game lastnight. but I also enjoy the just back from the match thread. Its so useful with differing opinons of how players the opposition etc played . So thanks to all those fellow saints who were at the game at least I can get a valued if somewhat differing views of the game and not the armchair critics. I don't get to that many games due to the extortionate airfares and the three days i need to take off to get to games. Despite these travel problems I am a season ticket holder and try to make as many games as possible. I was glad to be at Wembley on Sunday Finally to those who go to games and report back many thanks
  14. Alpine You come across threatening in your posts. look at the way you responded to my humouress post this what you added "Got a problem with that ?" Niether I or others new you had a 9 week old baby and then you have a go at Sadoldgit becuase your child is not very well how was he or others to know you have a sick child? and SOG comment about dummies was funny. While its not good that any child is sick you seem to spend as much time on the forum as you ever did. If I were the parent , I would have reduce my time on this forum to be with my sick child till they were well again. I hope your son gets well soon by the way
  15. How did Alpine play today Judging by his posts he was the worlds greatest moaning football fan but he went missing for much of the game especially around the time saints scored. Alpine needs to be more consistent with his moans to be classed as truly world class, perhaps he should transfer his allegence to the Skates and he would undoubtedly become the greatest moaning fan of all time
  16. Gemmel They successfully argued that the squash court was a hard floor and that in the event of a tube break down or emergency, if the said driver had to walk his passengers out, some of this passage would be on shingle, which unlike a squash court is an uneven surface and that would affect his back, but the level floor of a squash court wouldn’t. He was re-instated and immediately put back on sick leave…….I don’t know if that is the end of the story, if he is still there or still off sick…..but unions, don’t you just love them I suspect the people who heard the appeal were a bunch of weak managers and lost the bottle to uphold the dismissal. maybe it was cheaper for them to reinstate him than face the anger of the unions and potential industrial unrest
  17. Delll days heres a suggestion Pay the fine and offer to give the three points to the skates as they are desperate for points. Im sure the magistrates will buy that offer. After all the blue few are a deserving case
  18. I again endorse the green man good beer prices fine entertainment brilliant but what topped it off for me was the guest appearence of the power rangers. I hadnt a clue who they were dressed up at the time but thanks to this forum I have now found out they were the power rangers red army display team Well done lads If there is one downside to the green man it has to be not meeting up with Stu of Romsey I was hoping to get him to buy me a pint. He owes me it from a thread way way back , it might even have been a thread on the Saints Forever forum
  19. Dell Days just tell them it wasnt you behind the wheel . tell them you were deep in the Atlantic steering HMS S****** to pastures new. Im sure the magistrates will buy that excuse:cool: unless you were caught speeding in your sub doing 75 nautical miles in a 60 nautical mile zone. You know what the river police are like
  20. Not sure what game you were at theyin when he made our substitutions. the players coming off and AP gave each other hi fives. To me that showed the players and manager were all together. and as has already been mention the hugs between AP, ML and NC were equally important that the club are working as one.
  21. Well Herbie on the Saints list states its his Birthday today and Herbie is Southamptons no 1 fan. He was also at the club today doing one of his famous tours
  22. Wiltshire I think your missing the point. Unions do have a place in society, don't get me wrong. but some shop stewards and regional officers tend to back the wrong cause or member. Not too long ago I was involved in a messy case involving teachers. A teacher was being seriously bullied by another teacher. Both were in the same union . The local union bent over backwards for the perpertrator despite the victim going to them in the first place. The victim had to get a national officer up to represent them. Union versus Union. was pleasant but at least the culprit got their just rewards. So yes I do have time for Unions but they need to fight the right causes Im not selfish as you might suggest but somebody that can see the whole equation, union member or not
  23. I don't have a lot of time for unite. My lass works fro the Pru in Reading and has been red circled on her salary for almost 15 years. given inflation you would have thought she would have seen a consolidated rise by now. Her salary is just over 20k per annaum. no bonuses or any extras. Now her Union formely Amicus now Unite are not prepared to tackle the Pru on these injustices, She is not the only one suffering this injustice. She pays her union fees for what , so she can donate to the BA unite hardship fund. Unite need to get their priorities right. Instead of fighting the cause of highly paid Trolley Birds who have all sorts of perks. PS My BA Flight from Heathrow to Edinburgh was on time today, The cabin crew were really helpful as usual. I saw no sign of strikes let alone picket lines as I arrived at T5. So well done to the crew on the 1135 to Edinburgh. As for Unite well I will not hold my breath as they almost messed up my flights to Wembley at the weekend
  24. I thought the Ref did a good job yesterday. Normally we would moan about the standards of Refs we have had in games recently Or was it a case we didnt really care as we were winning and we just enjoyed the occassion?
  25. I must say a thankyou to the Saints ladies at Denham Station who painted my face Youve just got to get in to the spirit of these rare occassions. I have decided Im wearing my Saints Shirt all the way back home tomorrow, So if anybody sees a saints fan wearing his saints shirt at T5 or Edinburgh airport for my connecting flight say Hi. I might even buy you a pint.
