  1. Yes sell the club lock stock and two smoking barrels That way some fans will stop arguing about the price of pies what players we should buy, having a snipe at club officials and every thing would be hunky dory again except we wouldnt have a football club again I dispair with the odd comments on the forum , and on this occassion Im not even having a go at Alp. i actually agree with some of his comments on this thread. Who knows what will happen in the future. We thought we were doomed last year and were going out of business and along came Saint Markus and Sir Nicole. Markus was to be hear for the long term until his unfortunate illness snatched him away. His family knew what the club meant to him and regularly attended the games as well > And Im sure they wish to continue with his legacy and we also have his very trusted general as CEO so the club in extremely safe hands for the foreseable future. So lets remain positive and continue to mourn the Loss of Saints Markus. The future is very bright and Markus is shining a very bright light from above down on Southampton fC.

  3. I cannot believe one or two are starting to bicker on this day of all days on this thread. Thanks Wes for your report. Being a member of Saints List I have been very fortunate to know Herbie and Im very greatful for his post on this sad occassion. herbie who read out a verse conveys his thoughts on being there in only the way Herbie can. He tells us about Young Jake flannighan reading out the poem Im not going into everything Herbie has Posted but together with Wes's accounts I feel proud to be a Saints Supporter for lots of reasons. The true spirit of Southampton is Back thanks to Markus giving us hope and uniting us. Also to Nicole long may he stay with the club after all he was joined at the hip with Markus. A sad day

  6. I think whats happened to our owner has greater priority at the moment than bringing players in. Im sure there will be players comming in but not till next week. Its just paying respect to Markus is more important for me at the moment. The current team will do their bit on saturday.
  7. Wessex saints Im pleased you have retracted your statement. but can you confirm what you meant by ITK's Also given you live in a Military town . how many of the lads and lasses their have come back injured or in a coffin. Does or did the town feel the grief when the troops were from the garrison their if your west Wllts your either out in warminster or in and around salisbury Tidworth (Not much to do there on a friday or saturday night

  9. I havent read most of the posts but just want to advise folk that when are boys are on patrol there will always be a medic or nurse male or female with the patrol. some have been badly wounded by roadside bombs etc. Also we have medics based with all front line FOPs whether Kajaki, sangin . Further more when ever a soldier is injured during a fire fight not only is the medic on the ground doing his or her bit but the first peopleinto the area are the MERT team made up of more A&E specialists. Most of our Doctors, Nurses and Medics are TA medics who are called up . Finally reduced tickets for forces personnel especially those injured is not a new concept but has been around for decades. Lloyds of london provide discounted tickets for various events from cricket, shows or whatever. I went to Lords to watch a test match curtesey of Lloyds.

  11. Dave Benson Phillips strikes me as bit of a fantasist but in the case of the news reporter comments I understand from a proper source that the only reason he keeps changing his forum name is down to the fact the CSA are looking for him

  13. I is a couple of days on Since Saint Markus passed away but Im still deeply shocked. Anyway Markus trusted the club in the Hands of Nicola Cortose. markus has a very good general in Nicola. whilst some may moan about NC > I will not he equally has the future of the club firmly in his hands. he is a very close friend of the Liebherr family , an astute business man and well respected high up in the world of finance. Im so gratefull that Markus had a trusted General alongside him Tkake us forward NC you have my total backing for the future of the club.

  21. I understand Saints request to MK Don and as he said he recently lost his father. It would have been good to have played on saturday but I suspect the club and players are clearly a united team and will be equally hurting. Just look at the team huddle after the cherries game on a positive note it does give our injured players a bit more time to get fully fit. Sir Ricky for instance. Thats a positive note for having the game postponed
  22. Still in a state of shock as for naming the stadium after Markus is a good idea however given that he had a plan to re build saints and take them back to the Premiership how about naming the training ground after him especially with all the new buildings that are to be erected and much of our future will be based and developed. The Markus Liebherr Southampton FC Training Centre Just a thought
  23. Thanks to all the lads and lasses who are laying tributes at the club. Im along way away so thank you all for laying tributes to Markus
