  1. Be grat if we cna become Champions, Come on Hants , victory is in sight
  2. Knowing the SNP they will lower the voting age to 2 They are funding loads of new early year workers to provide nursery education for all 2 year olds Here's the first 4 weeks curriculum 1st week - bed wetting cessation skills 2nd week - how to spell the word Yes . 3rd week - arts and craft - how to draw a x in the yes box 4th week - story telling - why the Tories are scary trolls
  3. An MSP sdaid on BBC Scotland this mornin he expects there will be another referendaum on independance within 5 years I bloody hope not Salmond and the SNP are really ungrateful losers Oh and if he thinks its only those over the age of 55 voted no then , there is something seriously wrong with his maths Look at the results salmond , we dont have that many folk over the age of 55, we certainly have more than 2 million under that age. And im aware of at least 100 folk in the 18-35 range who def voted no up here
  4. I think you might be a bit out with that stat pap
  5. There are a very small amount of die hard yes supporters talking amongst themselves up here , about seeking a legal review . claiming the vote was unfair or marred This is only a two or three, After all Orkney had the biggest percentage of no voters. I think they have been supping too much higland park
  6. 5-3 wow
  7. That was a Penalty
  8. Pretty boy shaw still on the bench chewing gum .
  9. I don't know one way or another how much the vow had anything to do with the no vote . I don't think it changed the overall outcome . And in some places it convinced the undecided to vote yes . There counter arguments in both sides . I guess we will never no . But many thousands were against salmond because he was honest enough about plan b and c
  10. How shallow and deluded is salmond Salmond: 'No' voters were 'tricked' Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond says "No" voters in last week's referendum were "tricked" by a late vow of more devolved powers. we were not tricked . It was because he wouldn't answer the questions instead just bullied or rubbished every counter argument put forward . What an arrogant tosser .
  11. Edinburgh were controlling the election announcements . Orkney were read to declare just after 1 but Edinburgh held it up and they eventually allowed to declare the result at 2 and when they had a tv shot These things happen but from a conspiracy point Orkney had the highest % of no votes . Perhaps Edinburgh delayed it as they were too embarrassed with the outcome ? And the impact it would have on the salmond foot soldiers I was surprised how big the margin was up here . The yes were very confident up here
  12. The yes were so confidence of winning Orkney. I have a lot of friends who are yes voters but equally we have some real yes numpties . I wasn't expecting such a big majority for the no vote . This post comes direct from Kirkwall
  13. Whitey . I have to agree with you . A lot of this vote is certainly about the poll tax . Ps your local Orcadian war correspondent
  14. I have to say there are a lot of deluded yes voters and campaigners up here . I had to dismiss one a couple of years ago . A knob then and still a knob today Anyway tonight I'm in my local amongst decent and sensible folk who are on either of the political equation . And I'm pleased to say we have total respect for each other's views . I'm assured the yes voters can't stand salmond and spurgeon . And if it is a yes vote we are likely to have a leader from a neutral or Labour Party or liberal But definately not the krankies
  15. Voted this morning on the way in a ***** said I shouldnt be allowed to vote because I'm English . I ignored the **** .
  16. Today I'm still British . However I'm not sure what I will be tomorrow . But one thing I'm sure of is I will still be a Saints fan
  17. I have just seen a picture of a yes voter torching a Union Jack at a memorial . I would post it but I have not mastered the technique to pay a picture to this site
  18. Salmond is off his rocking horse read the following batman do you know this high ranking ex navy bod called called may ? Scottish independence would make the whole UK more vulnerable to attack, senior military figures have warned. In a letter in the Sun, 14 former armed forces chiefs said a No referendum vote was "critical for all our security". Breaking up Britain would "weaken us all", they added. First Minister Alex Salmond cited military and naval figures who backed a "Yes" vote and said the letter's writers should "not try to use people's service for political reasons". The letter was signed by seven former Chiefs of Defence Staff - Lords Boyce, Guthrie, Inge, Vincent, Stirrup, Craig and Richards. Also putting their names to the letter were three former First Sea Lords - Lord West, Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope and Admiral Sir Jonathan Band; three ex-Army chiefs - Lord Dannatt, General Sir Mike Jackson and General Sir Roger Wheeler; and former head of the RAF, Air Chief Marshal Sir Richard Johns. 'Successful alliance' In an "open letter to the people of Scotland", they expressed concern about the possibility of a separate Scottish military. "As former chiefs of the Royal Navy, British army and Royal Air Force, we know it is fiction to talk about regional armed forces," they wrote. "We train as one, fight as one and are under one command. We are not, and have never been, structured for division." They said a vote for separation would "undermine both Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom's defence". "At risk is the most successful alliance in history and one which has seen men and women from all parts of the country play their part in securing the liberties we now enjoy," they continued. "This unity has guarded our borders and given us the space to prosper in a troubled world." The letter concluded: "The division of the UK may or may not be politically or economically sensible, but in military terms we are clear: it will weaken us all." 'Loyal soldiers' Interviewed on Radio 4's Today programme, Mr Salmond cited support for independence by Jimmy Sinclair, a 102-year-old former Desert Rat, and Lt-Cdr Colin May, who recently retired as a senior Royal Navy intelligence officer at the Faslane submarine base. There was "a whole range of other people who've served this country coming out in favour of a 'Yes' vote," said Mr Salmond. "With due respect to General Dannatt, people like Jimmy Sinclair didn't serve for him; they served for the Queen and for democracy. People "should listen to the words of serving soldiers and make it clear that... you can believe in democracy and independence for Scotland and be a loyal solider. "General Dannatt should go and have a talk with Jimmy Sinclair and not try to use people's service for political reasons." In the referendum campaign on Tuesday, both sides seized on a pledge by the three main Westminster parties to devolve more powers. Yes Scotland described it as an "insult" to voters but Better Together said it was "a vision around which Scotland can unite". By the way in another article it states the following In 1953, He had a near miss himself when the truck Mr Sinclair was travelling in on a stretch of barren African desert took a direct hit from a German bomber but he escaped unscathed. I thought the war with Germany had already ended ?
  19. Eves dropping on a discussion by a couple of yes campaigners in a local pub in Kirkwall Quite Worrying but one of them are saying its a definately yes victory but then says that if it's a no vote then there will be serious unrest through out Scotland . I happen to know the individual and where he works . I'm staggered by his comments given his role in the community
  20. It's worse than that pap. It would be safer living next door to Fratton park
  21. BatmanI have heard the odd whisper, I will do some research , there maybe something in the odd murmerings. If what is being suggested is true then the loss of Sullom Voe will be a major kick in the bollixs for salmonds fiscal policies. salmond has done alot of visits to the islands, which are strong liberal dem heartlands. he has made comments that the Islands would get greater powers if it is a yes vote, but i think that is really phish. as he has done nothing from Orkeny , instead he has given lots of pennies to the western isles Oh, for Viking The MP for the Shetland isles has said that if his constituents vote no but Scotland go with a yes. He thinks there is a legal way for the islands not to be part of an iScotland. Heard anything about that?
  22. Scotland is one of the richest nations on earth. WEll Mr Salmond if that is the case, why am I so Poor?
  23. Whitey , we are . we have an initiative ( Ours and Our Future) and there have been various debates and conferences taking place Its all gone quiet of Late with some of our elected members and specificully our Convenor who have piined their colours to the Yes Mast thought they say it just their personal view poin and not as their elected members role.
  24. Thanks Alpine your post made me laugh and cheered me up . Im fed up with all they yes no bickering. Salomnd and his vigelanties have a consistent strtegy of ridiculing any thing the better together campaign say, and use the sound bite it is scaremongering along with the constant anti tory soundbite we have the three main newspapers camped up here , as its thought we will be first area to declare the result.
  25. Not terrifying at all Danbert Just disrespectful that's all . All I did was report what was exactly on the BBC gossip column , and added a bit of humour I did take offence at being referred to as mental , but hey it's the owners site and can he say what he wants .
