  1. We're as peed off by the PA system as our visitors are and have been complaining about it since the stadium opened, God knows what the problem with it is. As for the penalty, we had no idea what was happening, only realised that it was a penalty when the players starting lining up on the edge of the box and only knew you had scored because of the cheer.
  2. Hope you guys don't mind a Colchester perspective here. You have a good side who can make up the gap and fight for the lower end of the play-off places. Leeds have the title and the U's, Charlton and Norwich are scrapping for second (sadly I think Norwich might nick it). That still leaves two places up for grabs and it could easily be you and Huddersfield. Today, whether by luck or judgement, Boothroyd put one over on Pardew by playing Gillespie and Lisbie up front when Pardew was probably expecting us to play the big man and pump the ball up. Add in the fact that playing Lambert up front by himself against two very capable centre halves meant that for the first half he hardly had a kick. Once Connolly came on you were much more threatening. We both had a goal ruled out and in both cases the flag was up long before the ball hit the net. Your number 37 (Antonio?) was pants! Anyway, good luck for the rest of the season. In truth I hope you don't make the play-offs because you're just going to get better the longer the season goes on, particularly if Pardew can do some dealing in January, and we could do without that sort of threat come the end of the season.
  3. I answered your other post.
  4. He wants Colchester North Station - it's just signposted Colchester on the platforms - as opposed to Colchester Town. Most London trains don't run to Colchester Town, you have to change as the main station, so it will be hard for him to miss it and it will e the first one anyway. As to pubs, the Norfolk (right out of the station and across the roundabout) and the Bricklayers (left out of the station and up Bergholt Road) are the nearest and are both normally peaceable enough. Otherwise it's a walk towards town.
  5. Rapid Electronics is a straight 10 minute walk to the ground and they charge £5 to park in their car park. Post code is C04 5JS. Has easy access onto and off of the A12 as well.
