As usual you miss the point. You really are a moron.

Was less worried about the work permit and more about the current USA defenders and what that says about his ability. Isn't Bocanegra still a USA regular at the back?

"Lallana didn't get a cap, he called got called up to the squad. He hasnt' actually got a cap." - Where did I say Lallana had a cap, I just said he was in a squad far more recently than Jarvis and was more likely to get caps in the future. "Obviously the point being around AOC was that he was widely regarded as one of, if not the best young player in the country and he has plenty of time to improve doesn't he" - he does and he did but he hadn;t been tested, had we been playing in the Premier League at the time and he had performed at simialr level then his value would have been more. Is Lallana not regarded as a good young Englsih prospect? "Good point about Lallanas value dropping if we were to go down, i wonder what Jarvis would have been if Wolves had stayed up?" I remember reports linking him with a £15 million move to Wolves the season before they got relegated, the league you are playing in has a big effect on the transfer price. The point I have been trying to make, as someone above said not sure Jarivs was worth £10 million and I doubt Lallana is worth £15 million, however he's one of our best players who could play a crucial role in keeping us in the premiership, he has a long contract and has shown no signs he wants to leave and we don't need the money. His value to us is very high so it would take a silly offer for us to agree to sell him. Torres was never worth £50 million, but Liverpool had no reason to sell him and I don' think he particularly wanted to leave so the transfer fee was massively inflated to make the deal happen. same with Carroll, Henderson, Downing etc.
-
Bit worrying that he isn't a USA international?
-
Lol, Turkey boy, I thought you would come back with a stupid post, it's funny because you said that Lallana isn't a proven premiership player yet Jarvis is, then cite a 17 year old who had only played league 1 football So what is it do you need to be proven in the premiership or not proven in the premiership? You can't have both ways. Any player in the Championship will cost less, mainly because they will want to move to the premier league, especially if they have already been playing there. You really think Lallanas value wouldn't drop if we got relegated? I also see you clearly ignore the bits where your waffle has got found out, Jarvis's Engalnd cap was nearly two years ago, Lallana got called up two months ago, who do think is closer to getting an England cap in the future I wonder? or the fact that Jarvis had handed in a transfer request? no because those bits make you look like the idiot you are. Take the captain bit away and his market value is still higher than Jarvis's was at Wolves.
-
It also says he's 23, when he's 24, so seems pretty lazy journalism to me. Oh dear Mr Wrong indeed, but not MLG. "So as Jarvis is two years old that makes him in his prime, so worth more" This is in no way a FACT and is completely wrong The younger the player the more potential he has, therefore if Jarvis is "in his prime" as you say then he's not going to get any better, whereas Lallana has potential to get better, and therefore his value would be higher. Jarivs has also had a catalogue of injuries whereas Lallana hasn't. "As for your WRONG comment about contracts Jarvis contract at Wolves expired in 2015" Jarvis's contract length at Wolves is irrelevant because he submitted a transfer request so Wolves pretty much had to sell him, instantly that decreases his value. "Jarvis has an England cap, Lallana doesnt," They have both been in one squad, Jarvis has 20 minutes of itnernational football nearly 2 years ago but hasn't been close to a squad since so Lallana is currently higher up the international pecking order, Francis Jeffers has an England cap does that make him worth more than Lallana? "he is proven in the premier league, Lallana isn't yet. 14 games is not a proven premier league player." He was still playing championship football when he was bought. Lallana: - doesn't want to leave - is playing for a premiership club, - is our captain so is highly valued by us, - has been attracted good reviews this year much more than Jarvis who has been injured - is closer to the England squad. - is younger and has more potential to improve. His market value is therefore at minimum the same if not more than Jarvis Maybe before you berate other people you should check your own facts first.
-
Bought when they were a bit younger though, I mean Fonte was 26 when we bought him and defenders usually peak later than strikers, isn't Michael Owen only 32? I would also question a guy who went to Qatar, screams 'football mercenary' to me and might not be the right sort of character to have around a relegation battle, sounds much more like a QPR type signing to me. Would much prefer us investing in an Ince or Phillips etc who have potential, than a free 31 year old who will probably only get worse. Experience though at the back I agree with (along with quality) and in particular goalie, one of Given, Robinson or Freidel surely have to be looked at.
-
I don't particularly rate Guzan, and it seems odd after Given retired from international football. Given or Friedel, either would improve the team in the short term. I'm just leaning towards Friedel though because he was immense for Spurs at the start of the season. Doesn't seem very us to go for a 31 year old, also wouldn't we loose him for a month anyway in January?
-
Part from the Manchesters I wouldn't write us off in any of those games. Need 6pts though from Reading and Sunderland. We should beat Reading, our squad is better. That giant centre-back they have will be a threat from set pieces and they work hard but if we take our chances and play like we did against Newcastle it could be 4 or 5. The weeks rest will also help we looked sluggish against Norwich and Liverpool.
-
Probably but would prefer Freidel, he was still making top class saves this season whilst Given hasn't made many appearances this year and I thnk Given is a bit injury prone. How about Scott Sinclair? Only two appearances for Man City so far, might be able to get a loan with view to a permanent signing. a few out of favour players at City Lecott, Rodwell, Javi Garcia, might be worth some cheeky loan bids?
-
Isn't essentially this - Win a bet againstmate, take the **** out said mate with mate's money. Couldn't find a clip of the bit where Cartman changes it into coins and takes a bath it.
-
Maybe he's just being kept out by better players? Puncheon has been much improved on the right and Lambert has been decent enough and seems essential to how we play so there is little space for him in the team at the moment. Maybe they just see him as a little raw and more one for the future? I suppose we will see if we get any injuries to Puncheon, Lallana or Lambert. Man City spent nearly £30 million on Maicon, Sinclair, Javi Garcia and Rodwell. They have a total of 13 appearances between them.
-
Was a top class keeper but worrying that a team in a similar position are letting him go?
-
Need to wind him up maybe he will kick someone and get sent off. Would have him in a heart beat, along btoh centrebacks, Reina and Gerrard. The rest of the team is a bit 'meh' some good players but the table doesn't lie, they are only four points better of than us. The only teams they have beaten so far are Wigan, Reading and Norwich.
-
Laughable post to be honest. Exactly what evidence do you base this comment on "conveniently forgetting that our other two keepers shouldn't be anywhere near the first team either." Boruc has had two games, the first one after not playing for 6 months he didn't do well in and he made mistakes but then so did several defenders so he hardly cost us the points, we lost 4-1. The second he conceded 2 goals neither of which he could have done much about. How does that make him a "complete liabilities" If anyone has been a complete liability it's Gazzaniga, even in the clean sheet against Newcastle he almost gave him a goal by holding onto a kick too long and then sending it straight at Ba, at QPR he got away with it becuase they were awful and the rest of the team did so much better, and against Swansea and Norwich he directly cost us 2 points. But yeh of course Boruc is complete liability from his one bad game comapred to Gazzanigas four What are you on? And now appratenly he has an attitude problem as well, your deluded comments based on two games not being enough you make something up as well. Gazzaniga should have bene dropped after the QPR game simple as that.
-
Fullbacks is debatable seeing as they are playing Stewart Downing there at the moment, and I don't think Johnson is much better than Clyne. Midfield wise they obviously have Gerrard, aside from that though are Sterling, Allen, Henderson, some random guy on the right wing? miles better than Morgan, Cork, Lallana, Puncheon? Probably not. Take Suarez away and the quality of their team severley drops. The likes of Reina and Gerrard aren't the players they used to be, and the rest are good but not great hence their league position. City, Utd, Arsenal, Spurs, Chelsea, Everton all have better squads than Liverpool and WBA are a better team so the talk of Liverpool challenging top 4 was kind silly. People are maybe overestimating them because it;s Liverpool but in reality they are at best a top 8 side, we will have a lot more tougher away trips than Anfield.
-
The thing is all those players you have mentioned have already proved themselves better than their potential replacements. Shaw has already shown himself to be way better than Fox and will improve, he has made far less mistakes than Fox and is hearly 10 years his junior. How you think Gaston cost us the game against WBA is beyond me, especially considering he wasn't match fit in that game. Gazza hasn't proved himself better than the other keepers especially Boruc, it;s not one or two mistakes, it's a catalogue of them and they have cost points.
-
It's the pace, players with a lot of pace tend to get maybe over hyped. Suarez is a class act as a player, the best hope we have of stopping him is winding him up I rekcon. Definitely Boruc in for me, needs some games under his belt. Think our lads will be tired and Liverpool probably have more quality options to freshen up their squad than we do. Would like to see a good performance, come out with no injuries and see what happens but we shouldn't get too down if we loose, depsite their slow start Liverpool at Anfield is never going to be easy.
-
He's not in the Poland squad because he has fallen out with the coach, not because of his quality, Like I said he's a controversial character and doesn't always get on with people but not a reason to write him off.
-
They didn't, they wanted him to stay as he had been very good for them, 14 clean sheets last year and had ousted Frey from the number one shirt and held it for two years. He wanted to leave to play in the premiership http://www.football-italia.net/19876/boruc-wants-fiorentina-exit He's not unprofessional, he's just a bit controversial and doesn't really care about the media PR etc. The first thing you want from a keeper is to do the basics right, keep it tidy, and make few errors. Any world class saves are a bonus. The world's best keepers like Czech, Casillas, Buffon aren't constantly making world class saves, they are consistent, they make very few errors, their distribution is good, they control their defences and command the area. Most games they go unnoticed because they are efficient, they then add the odd world class save on top. We have a keeper that is doing it the wrong way round, he's making the odd top class save but mucking up the simple stuff. Good goalskeepers rarely attract the headlines, ours is. He's like the guy that goes in goal when you are having a kick about with your mates, saves all the long shots, dives around all over the place, but when you put him in goal for an actual game he mucks up all the boring bits.
-
What's hilarious is that Boruc has played what 2 games? He had a poor first game back against West Ham (and so did the whole defence BTW) and then played against Spurs did ok couldn;t have done much with the goals, gets dropped because some idiotic fans decided to get on his back. He's now been completely written off by a lot of people, yet Gazzaniga has made howlers pretty much every game, looked overal poor and has directly cost us points. He's also played behind a much improved defence as well and still is messing up. How the hell is he getting the benefit of the doubt but Boruc who hadn't played for 6 months gets written off after 2 game?
-
Gazza very much has to go, the mistakes are costing us points but his overall play is awful. One good save against Newcastle is about it in recent games, poor handling, looks nervous, poor decisions. The defence is looking settled, we need to remove the calamity behind them. As for Boruc, he shouldn't have thrown the bottle but the fans were idiots for having a go at him, the goals against Spurs weren't his fault and I think he had every right to give them stick back. Barracking one of your own players for no particular reason 30 mins into a game is idiotic. He's also our best keeper by far.
-
Boruc in at Anfield, give him a run of games. He was only dropped because of the stupid bottle throwing incident and that was caused by our idiotic fans having a go at our keeper who was not at fault for either goal against spurs. Gazza has been given a good run and he has clearly showed he's not up to it, far too nervous, mistakes costing us crucial points. After working so hard to get the defence cutting them out NA must be pulling his hair out that the Keepers are making errors. Give Boruc until Xmas, I think he will prove his quality. If he doesn't we throw the biggest 6 month loan offer and contract we can at Friedel. Then we look at a long term quality keeper in the summer. At the end of the day though a point isn't a bad result, considering Norwich's recent form. They have overturned Utd and got a point away at Everton which not many teams outside the top 4 will do. I also reckon we have a chance of getting something at Anfield if the lads aren't too tired, they will be much easier to score against and will be a bit down after their loos at Spurs.
-
What he was and where he played for clubs in a completely different league is largely irrelevant. Where he currently plays for Swansea is up front or behind the strikers thus making him a poor choice as a replacement for cork, even if he was 'doing a job'.
-
Like I said if you look at the games when he is stated as playing 'MC' he plays with two holding players in Britton and Lee, I also don't think they have got Swanseas formation correct. They have it iinitially as 4-3-3, when it's more like what we play either a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-2-3-1, in all these games he has either played just behind the striker in the hole, or as the striker. At no point has he played a DMC role or part of two MC's in 4-4-2 like Davis and Cork have been doing for us. If you look at our games they think we palyed 4-2-3-1 against Newcastle and Qpr, a 4-1-4-1 against Spurs, Vill etc, and a 4-4-1-1 against Fulham. I'm pretty sure our shape has been the same in all those games.
