  1. http://www.skysports.com/video/clips/0,23791,15855_4171150,00.html 4 mins 15secs , hardly household names though, mind you they might be in the Fry household
  2. So thats Mr Hall, Mr Kitchen, Mr Bedroom? all household names, maybe Mr Carpet or Mr Floortile? Like most I seem to spend any spare time looking on Sky, the Echo the official site and here just hoping the news will break and that we have finally been saved and that you know who (a household name that only brings out the worse sentiment) is finally out of the picture, speaking of which perhaps the new owners could send the train pic to him and forget to put a stamp on it!
  3. Disgraceful, watched it from block 38, Kingsland Corner, the police dogs were an over reaction, the atmosphere was good with the majority enjoying the game and the spirit shown by the team. Hope that the fans who ran on realise the game had'nt actually finished, we had a player done,(Spoke with JPS outside after the game who said Wotton didn't look to pretty!) so that'll be a fine and n investigation, that should really help any appeal against the 10 points. As for stealing signs, breaking hoardings, the stewards seats well it wasn't the last game at the ground hopefully, yes most took a piece of the Dell home on the last game but those fans have stolen from the club, a club that had buckets out for money, money that will now be needed for repairs! Hope the first guy on in the yellow shirt from the Kingsland gets a life ban, before that the atmosphere was one of resignation , but i still wanted to give the team my support with them doing the traditonal lap of the stadium and that was denied me, my father and my daugther. None of us were able to say thank you by way of applause to the players who today I felt showed the right spirit. If the FL reject the appeal, and decide because we have no money to pay a fine and decide to levy a further points deduction it won't seem so clever to be one of the first 10 on the pitch then will it ?
  4. the point has to be if he RL was so sure of the loophole then he should of been sure of cashflow as well, well we know the cashflow mistake as SLH now in admin, but would,nt it of been prudent if sailing that close to the wind to make sure that any penalty would be applied this season, and not left as a ticking bomb and risking the club falling thru to L2 ? teams take time to gel, next season will see a new manager, new team and at this moment -10 points, so next season potentially Bournemouth could be passing us !
  5. Well you better have big boots, what gives you the right to decide your in some way a superior fan just because you attended? Absolute B*******ks. RL had the same attitude, thought he was superior well it seems someone at Barclays decided they were. The fan base was divided by RL and all you are doing is to perpetuate it, grow up, fans are fans, whether they go to matches, listen on the radio, read it as the first result on teletext, doesn't make them any less a fan. RL is gone, SLH is gone SFC maybe gone but the pain is still there and this Saturday will give SFC its second relegation on home soil and the one group not to blame is the fans, try the management and the guy's who actually cross the white line for 90 minutes for 46 games a season. I'm at the stage now that I actually wonder if SFC is worth saving, the only thing that makes me think it might be is the look on my sons and daugthers faces, and that worth more than the petty arguments over who's to blame !!!!!
  6. from the look of some of this team , there will be no takers, and the dole queue for unemployed footballers will be longer this year with plenty of clubs close to the edge, you'd think they'd be playing out of their skins to get an offer to continue in their chosen cosseted career. no wonder so many of them forget the simple things in life such as a driving license, car insurance, they'll find it a shock working 40 hrs a week stacking shelves. kd will get an offer I'm sure, hopefully from SFC 2009
  7. Has to be KD, from his attitude I reckon as long as we offer a contract he'd stay
  8. Not going on Saturday, however can I just say there is nothing wrong with standing at football games as long as its in a clearly defined area and the numbers are controlled. Standing was not the issue at Sheffield, overcrowding was, whether it was ticketless fans, police or stewards , the blame is primarily down to overcrowding, and yet football clubs still seem to declare two different sets of figures for attendances at most games. Listened to the service today in the car, and I would think everyone, football fan or not could not fail to be moved by it, goosebumps and a lump in the throat. How many on here have taken their kids to a game and sat and thought that the missus may not of allowed that if the grounds had not changed and the whole atmosphere changed as a result of that fateful afternoon ? There was an article on Sunday that made sense to me, knock down that stand, the Football Community should replace it, yes Wednesday will benefit but Football can move on
  9. All those years of relegation battles at the Dell never felt as bad as now, staying up on the last day, and dropping Man City out or Leicester last year, somehow I don't see the fanbase turning out as we did in South London and turning the town red and white stripes in Nottingham this year, more likely we'll be down by then. Lowe has only ever talked about money in all his interviews, never mentioned Wilde and The Dutch Experiment that is the real reason we are where we are , not the money but the way the team has been managed. There should at least be a fight in the team as in the past, but the dutch methods havn;t instilled this, and thats RL's mistake. The man RL has done this thru spite, one week past the date, leaves a legacy for a points deduction for next season, and then he mentions a bounced cheque on the GK coach whose otherwise engaged ! SFC are supposed to cover footballing debts not SLH , it was another subtle twist of the knife, Graham Souness got it right all those years ago. RL didn't build the stadium the promise of PL money built the stadium, and it was built on the backs of Le Tiss, Benali and Dodd and journey men like Palmer and Bessant.
  10. Well having watched it on the tv, we had no midfield and with Smith cutting in each time no wonder we had no width. Wotton just hooves it everytime, how we miss Gillett. BWP with Saga upfront, then play DMG behind them, put Surman to left back and Rudi on the left, Put Smith out on the right, then at least players would be where they feel natural. Euell , well he shows spirit so I'd put him in midfield. The side I watched today seemed to have no shape at all the only player in position was KD!!!! What I'd give now for marian or a mickey evans upfront and a proper midfielder to boss the team still with the current crop we are unlikely to get any worthwhile fees for them so it'll be more rubbish in L1 Most important close season move will be a quality motivator with a decent coach alongside, at least then the team might play to a shape, good or bad. Can't see me driving to St Marys tomorrow to buy a ticket for monday at this rate.
  11. I've heard RL say it twice now, SLH bounced cheques, and that they were for the GK coach, now that means SLH were paying the footballing staff, so thats the worry of 10 points out the way as thats what Luton apparently were guilty of and led to the bigger points deduction. Thanks RL your need for exposure in the media has now pushed us over the edge, still don't understand from his interviews as to why they didn't take the points and admin the week before.
  12. Well as crouch was only in charge as chairman for one transfer window , and he moved Rasiak and Scakel out on loan at that point, but did bring in Wright, perry and Lucetti oh and Pericard I'd say that leaves two culprits, one who got himself in too deep and walked away only to run with a new best friend. I also wonder why Wilde found it necessary to resign, doesn't SFC operate seperately to SLH?
  13. well we should all send emails to the show, prime AB with queestions that Saints Fans want answered.
  14. right , I've been to the ground today, work trip from Dorset to Bristol and back via St Marys! been a stayaway because of Red Face (been an away fan instead) but today bought two tickets, going to take my Dad who's not been in years so instaed of buying one ticket I bought two and I'll do the same for the next home match COYR
  15. depends which or what goes into admin surely? The Football Club is only a part of the PLC, hence two chairmen?
  16. well pfc123 has very nearly captured the spirit of the Dell, it'll never happen at St pride park Marys, the team despite now having moved to 442 isn't mobile enough to get the fans thinking theres something to sing about. if the team wants support they need to show they deserve it
  17. well its got to the point now that my son rang and asked if I was listening to the game as Kelvin had just saved a penalty, whereas I used to attend home and away, only went to the Swansea game because of the march, I can't even be bothered to tune the radio in. The Cherries are not only 5 points of safety, difference is they have a team and manager who believes they'll do it The Saints, no sign of being able to muster half the fight of the Cherries Truly is game over
  18. some just go get a chain n padlock and lock the doors at the training ground and stadium, nail up a sign saying for sale, this result tonight has in my opinion killed us, too late for a manager to make a change as Saints would be in Champions League if the new manager bounce effect worked here.
  19. [quote Ps. I want Euell back in the team as well ! yes I thought when Euell came on he actually was great at covering for Drew and putting his foot in much like Wotton, but the true inspiration was Saga, who by his workrate actually dragged the others by embrassing them, Wotton was stood in the centre circle after we conceded actually geeing up the team , first time i've seen someone geeing the team up, who noticed that Wotte was passing mesaages out to the team and they seemed to take notice. Not sure on Lallana, thought we just lacked pace, especially as DM is less mobile than a telegraph pole! it was hard to tell at the end that we only had 10 men
  20. so thats really going to help attendances, no walk up on the day unless on the database, um kinda put my off going to the march and then attending the game.
  21. yes, must admit, only been to away from home this season, but intending on going on the march, but strangely feeling maybe actually go to the game as well! first time this season I've felt like going to SMS, knowing Lowe won't be there meaning no chance of spotting his smug face and hopefully the lads will play for Jan , afterall thers no real change, but strangely feeling glass half full rather that glass half empty, I've previously advocated a boycott , but wavering now anyone else feel this way? Probably won't be able to talk after Saturday , after the march and maybe the match and hopefully protest afterwards. I want to support the team , but don't want to support the current regime , catch 22 grrrrrrrrr
  22. so with all these talks, of investors surely given the clubs previous record the LSE should be told we are in talks? can't see LC putting any money in personally, and unless someone is planning o get total control why would they put money in if the current Chairman is leaking to the press (CS Daily Mail)that admin is close? love it to be true, but of more concern is actually getting the shots on target in the net and gaining the points to finish 4th bottom in the CCC and then having derbies next year with the skates
  23. well perhaps it all happened too late for stock exchange announcement? perhaps thats why theres a conference on Monday? ah no thats just wishful thinking or is it?
  24. What will be the most interesting part in this new chapter will the players response. How do they react to Wotte in training? If as has been suggested in the past that players have problems with the coaching staff , see the previous story on Hockaday and the rumour of Wotton falling out with the coaches, Skacel's revelations, the leaking of Euells wages, which all seem to show that behind the scenes all is not happy, the meeting that was apparently normal practise on Monday but by Friday Jan's had enough? I can see the press conference now, L*** will walk in because Wilde (SFC Chairman) will be unavailable and he'll hold up Jans letter of resignation , then he'll blame the fans or rather the lunatic fringe. We need a clean sweep but its been left too long the transfer window will be closing, the players must be sat tonight next to their phones hoping its their agent and a get out of SMS call. Still if the article that appeared in the national press regarding administration is to be believed then Wotte may only be here until the third week in March, but hopefully he's only here for the Norwich game and won't get time to swap desks with Jan. Jan , all the best, you tried as you saw best unfortunately its a poison chalice handed to you by L*** , just join the list of managers or ex SFC staff to sign a non disclosure agreement!
