  1. Panorama's budget for this programme would not have stretched to a prolonged fishing expedition to garner the required footage, of that I can assure you. I would also recommend a look at BBC producer guidelines before making such scathing attacks on the authenticity of BBC journalism. I don't think there will be much trouble for those of Anglo-Saxon heritage but I certainly wouldn't be recommending anyone from an ethnic background to travel east this summer. I will be working there myself, though this time, as opposed to '08, I'm told I will be accompanied at all times by an interpreter and driver. Somehow I suspect they could be termed as 'heavies' by some.
  2. And people reckon Michael Owen isn't worth a punt.
  3. So was it Lowe who was so impressed by TF's performances on the bench for Spurs that he gave him a five year contract? I thought he would have been recommended by scouts etc.
  4. Come off it - Clem's role is to act as the voice of the people. He is simply echoing many people's thoughts or conversations, probably on here, and offering through Clem our compassion and recognition of a superb season considering what he went through. There was no malice. TV is a visual medium, he offered the statement, their was a reaction that said it all and Billy could go. Powerful television. As for the video itself, first time I've seen it, straight to my youtube favourites. Got a bit choked there. Aaaaannnd 2, 3, 4 phewwwww
  5. Whatever happened to the banner? #GETTINGOLD It's still a Marathon to me.
  6. Homework for the summer now lads. No rush, you've got a few months. With Reading axing 13 players to comply, who will be worrying about a tap on their shoulder at SMS and who should be expecting a call to get on the bus? Straight and simple, who is in your... realistic (ie no RVP, Messi, Tevez & the like, not this season anyway)... 25 come August? Good luck. You may start writing....now
  7. ...this place has descended into a b1tch fest. I'm can be no angel, but it's like a bunch of girls going off at each other in here. Forgive me, but I thought we just got promoted.
  8. I find the Stone Island/Reebok Classic brigade more of an embarrassment
  9. Bournemouth then, just youtubed one landing there. Add a few hundred on the bill, hell a couple of thou, still sounds astounding. If it's possible.
  10. Anyone else care to examine what I think is an astonishing ....possible fact. It's early and my eyes are still half shut. Just out of interest I looked at a flight charter co's site. This one... http://www.privatefly.com/ Has a 450 seater 747-400 for rental next weekend able to fly between Southampton and Newcastle and return (depart Southampton 8.30am, depart Newcastle 7.30pm (they wouldn't let you on if you were in Geordieland any longer...too many temptations)) for £55 629.15 !!! As I say it's early but my schoolboy maths works that out at £123.62 each !!! Am I off my marbles or something, because that sounds freakin crazy? (Pedants - I realise the game's this weekend, this is an example of hypothetical foresight...come late)
  11. Accepted, but this is Saints we're talking about. Never ones to make it easy for ourselves. I'm sure we'll do it, just would love that Championship win as well.
  12. Against sides in the top ten our away record this season is pretty dire. W1 D4 L3 Fingers crossed the first one can be added to on Saturday.
  13. Mayflower Park would do nicely. Doubt Sky would allow it though
  14. Any point in all the Saints players on twitter being bombarded with messages of encouragement?
  15. Can someone please explain what's happened to Punch? Can't help but think he could have done something more down the right. As for the crowd. Last half hour it seemed all Reading from where I was sitting....12K miles away on a laptop. We had it all, just couldn't find the killer blow. My wife would say we should send out positive vibes all week to Billy & Lambo, she's a bit flowery like that but I will put my scepticism to one side for the next few weeks, find my chi and send out good ju ju to the lads. COYR...we can do this, just got to get on the bus of belief.
  16. Just spoke to the old man in Blighty who said he was going to put a fiver on 5-1 Saints. I nearly choked on my stubby. So joined my Stokey odds compiler mate who resides in Gib in on the Skype call who guided the old man to William Hills who are offering 150-1. Dad couldn't get off the call quick enough. I think I might need to send my aunt round to check he hasn't knocked his head. The joys of getting old. ...hopefully he'll be proved right and have the last laugh.
  17. My windows laptop is kaput, does this one work on mac? Does this mean I have to get up again?
  18. Would've much rather Pompey took two points of Reading myself
  19. Only skeleton crew on BBC coverage now. Mate who's in the game says it'll all be on Sky within a couple of years, maybe one.
  20. Turning Japanese, first record I ever bought (woolies in woolston circa 78/9??) - took me nigh on 25 years before someone pointed out what the words pertained to. Why? Sour Mash Because the spread of the name, the income that could provide would be nice, easy
  21. No word of a lie but I was offered a job by Ben Dover & his mate with the ponytail who appeared in the 'how to make love' instructional vids or whatever they were called, about ten years ago. Only as a producer (they were guests on Central Weekend). Turned them down. Always wonder what might've been. Now back to what I was looking for. I entered 'stream' in the search bar looking for something other than front row sports.
  22. BBC London 94.9 works here in Oz
  23. wake up ....to a goal, bu gg er
