  1. Saints are red and white with black shorts. Don't care how it comes so long as there's no prominence of one or other on the home kit. Current one just ain't Saints. What marks me the most the cheap way the pinstripes fail to meet on the shoulder. Couldn't give a damn about what it looks like on holiday as IMO kits are for players and kids only.
  2. For my mind, I don't think there has been another signing in the history of football that has left fans, of whatever colour going, WTF (or whatever the vernacular of the day was). It was and remains unprecedented. Ronaldo to RM? Big deal, they're a big club known to splash out and we all knew he wanted to go there. KK to Saints, no one knew nothing and the fact the Euro player of the year came to an outfit like ours, well, it just ain't gonna happen is it gov? Who's for bringing Ledley out of retirement? I jest
  3. Crikey...on that showing you could be forgiven for thinking NA might've found a prince to someone's number 7 crown. Get him on the bus on the basis of the goal around 1min in IMO
  4. Keeping hold of these lads will be the biggest test of NC's resolve now we're in the PL. Could well be as big an achievement going forward as NA keeping us up.
  5. Turn on your own. That's productive isn't it?
  6. So given our predilection for losing on Sky, we can safely assume that's at least 12 points off any runaway leader by the start of November?
  7. Flashes of quality down the years but never been impressed by his team effort. Watch him lose the ball too many times and never chased it just let his shoulders drop and watched
  8. We all went ballistic at the sight of the lotto ball on the 125th anniversary crest and where did it get us? Nowhere. So stop giving yourself RSI, you're not going to change anything. It ain't Saints but it's hear to stay for a season at least. NC's his own man, don't give a hoot about upsetting us an probably has his reasons so put up and shut up. He's helped get us where we are today so be grateful for that for no matter how much we bleat this is a totaliterian leadership. It's his ship an he'll steer it where he wants. Learn to live with it.
  9. No sweeping judgement at all just a little disappointing as I might be off to work out there next week and hoped to see one or two future 1st team players in action.
  10. Bit disappointing I thought given the praise that goes with every mention of our academy. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/England_national_under-19_football_team
  11. The matching top and bottom look is 'the look' on the catwalks of Milan, Paris, London and NY this season don't you know?
  12. Crikey even if a student wasn't going to be a student half way through the season, would it really kill SFC to let them continue with a concession as said student gets on their feet by way of goodwill and in hope of continued loyalty? In this case though, as per usual it's simply a case of employees disseminating the wrong information. You get the same unknowledgeable donkeys every time you deal with a call centre
  13. Carroll, great header v Sweden but still think Crouch should've gone. SRL? Well I'll leave you lot to fight that one out.
  14. Hey, if I loved my job but couldn't do it then I'd have a bone to pick. Not many of us are in that situation of course but I'm not sure I see an 'underlying sentiment' but who in their right mind would cut off their nose to spite their face in his situation. The underlying and clouding of the facts here is the fact posters on this sort of subject are one club people. This lad has a career to make and in this case shouldn't be judged in the same way as Bridgey who in all honesty could've taken a sizeable wage cut way earlier and still be quids in - though to my mind, WhyTF should he? It's only football and life's way more important than that.
  15. Two completely different things
  16. Show me a man in any other line of work who has an iron clad contract who wants to work but his boss hasn't got anything for him, who would go to said boss and say tear it up mate, I'm no use to you but some fella down the road has some work paying substantially less that I think I'll do and I'll show you a liar. I'm no fan of multi millionaire footballers (I just like what they do on the park) but let's have some perspective. No one on here knows the ins and outs. The fact he wants to play but Cortese won't (I suspect) let him go and pay a portion (probably the majority) is the Chairman's decision, wrong in my mind but the lad's only got a few years in his career to make as much money as possible so stuff your self righteous BS where the sun don't shine because there's not a man amongst you who wouldn't grab as much as you can while you can. "Jealousy is the fear of comparison." And I see no need for an apology from him.
  17. Driving out of Dinetsk where i am based tomorrow lads. I'll report back but am told the roads are atrocious. Straight to Kiev IMO. Pity as I'm stuck with the Lstinos. I'll try and get the Kiev crew to snap the Saints in Kiev
  18. Nah, at t'other end. Apart from a few stragglers, it was totally Ukraine. The 'speed hump' covered the cabling for the LED pitchside ad hoardings

  20. Writer and stand-up, Eddy Brimson is on a raod trip with England fans blogging and vlogging his way round Poland and Ukraine. No doubt he'll have his detractors on here but he's a top lad. Follow him at ... @eddyb_euro2012 http://www.facebook.com/eddybrimsoneuro2012 and on the dedicated website... http://www.eddybrimsoneuro2012.com
  21. SWF - surely the biggest gathering of trolling, call it what you will, w a n k e r s under the sun. Makes my fricken blood boil coming on here when all I want is Saints talk, rumours and banter
  22. It was like the Ukrainians had won the tournament after their match last night here in Donetsk. Massive firework display at the final whistle, horns, people hanging our of cars. All that was missing was a Kalashnikov being fired into the air. I can also confirm the ladies have a certain something (extremely long legs being one) ....and there's complimentary french letters in my room, which judging by the racket coming from the room next door these past two nights.....
  23. My uncle played for Limerick in the late 60's and scored in the Irish FA Cup Final for them. I remember him being invited by them to attend the 80's match at the Dell along with a few other locals that had plied their trade on the Emerald Isle. Proud as punch of my uncle Dave then to think of him having a sherbet or two with my heroes up in the players lounge.
