For me, Arsenal have done the best kit/badge change in recent years. Let's be honest and don't get me wrong, I love our badge but it does have an air of amateurism in the design about it or is it seventiesish? I reckon MLG's hark back to 1885 is a winner (looks reminiscent of a South American team to me). I think we should celebrate our new future in our quasiconceptuallegodquicenturychannonennial188576 anniversary and show the world we ready for change and ready to host a world cup match or two. There'll always be dissenters, I suspect there are loads still complaining at the Ars, sod em, a change is as good as a rest

We won FFS 2009 winners Chelsea conceded to Southend ... twice, Ipswich, Watford and Arsenal on their way to the cup. I think we're doing ok

Thank ***** for that. I thought it was going to be a list of my eighties heroes who supported the old dragon

I can see another London game coming up this season - it's almost as if the capital is home away from home thi season
-
a fiver for seniors? that's a steal, maybe an older crowd might be attracted to what could be a great game. Invite that old neighbour who doesn't get out much and feel better about yourself (just walked through a barrage of Age Concern street Nazis)

not to be defeatest but how does everyone else feel Charlton will respond this week after their loss in that other more achievable route to sliverware

Is there anyway this thread and the other one mentioning links can be made into a sticky. There's no pen about and if I miss another opp like this I'll be gutted. why didn't I go online earlier

Bristol Rovers 2- 3 Saints - You Tube of saints goals here
theyin replied to Baj's topic in The Saints
You the man Baj. Three spledid goals though you've got ask what the Rovers defense were up to with the 2nd. -
has this become a beer and pie thread. If so, add me to the outcry. It was billed as bitter, it tasted like I would imagine a gulp full of the Itchen. Surely a deal could be struck with a local brewery like Ringwood which has plenty of decent offerings and if I may offer a suggestion or two for the lager. I spent the summer in Switzerland last year and found Basle's two breweries, Ueli and Unser, produced some fantastic lagers - coming from me - a die-hard ale drinker - that's saying something. P1ssed all over Carling/Foster's etc. And why can't Plested Pies (ok they're not brilliant but...) have the contract?

How twists of fate beset us. I live just across the water from Leyton but have to be in Southampton for family reasons this weekend. This was THE London game I really wanted to be at this season. Some things just aren't fair. 1-3 to the boys in red and white. Have a good one all those going and hopefully the capital will be witness to a south coast celebration to beat any east end knees-up. Radio Solent and a tinny or two for me on the sofa I guess. COYR

I was't at the game but I always found I had disproportionately more Orient club badges when I opened packs of Panini stickers!

My missus was at her first Saints game today. she reckoned there was too much "head-butting" going on. well she is from down under and is more used to Aussie Rules. she's now up to speed with 'heading' the ball. Great win but when are Saints going to stop giving us scares towards the end of games when we are so on top?
-
they need to buck their ideas up - i was sure we were certs for a day out at Wembley in this comp. Shameful if we lose this one
-
I think we should go all out to win this trophy. It's not mickey mouse to regulars in this league and would not only be a statement of intent but surely lift the whole city and the players involved, should we make Wembley again seeing as though the play offs are far from a certaintee COYR

Come on Saints WTF?

Is Lawrie in attendance I wonder? I only ask because of a comment by Captain Swing here http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/4654813.Michael_Wilde_ordered_to_compensate_former_employee/ What's all that about?

Crikey lad. You have a lot to learn. He was exceptional for us. Though i agree, others are more worthy of a named stand
-
If only you knew then what you know now. Was there a tinge of bitterness everytime pops recounted Stokesy knocking in the winner?
-
They deserve a goal from open play.
-
i've got a couple of boys up from Southampton to go see Pete Docherty tonight. God hope we have something to celebrate. Where's that second?

Fed up with absolutely NO decent Saints coverage on local radio...
theyin replied to Gordon Mockles's topic in The Saints
Chris.Carnegy@bbc.co.uk he's the Managing Editor at BBC Radio Solent I'm sure he'd welcome constructive comments in his email inbox. I suppose I ought to email him and apologise for the torrent of abuse from those less well endowed with the old grey matter though -

given the beeb.s status as a psb they do in fact have to listen to listeners views. I would say a concerted email campaign to the solent hd of sport might just do the trial -
Just to say the spotty faced bunch of colours attempting 'i come down from...' as they traverrsed Southwick Bridge were quite frankly an embarrassment. Thanks for besmirching the name of our great club with your pitiful display. Just leave that kind of sh1t at the ground you jerks

Is it dawning on Pardew that the Director of Football is going to be in charge.
theyin replied to derry's topic in The Saints
A voice of reason. By the way , isn't this a shoe in for MLT? -
My exact same thought
