  1. I suspect there was some brash gobsh!te like you on the Notts County board a year back when someone said Sol Campbell was free and HCDAJFU. I bet you'd have had the same reaction if the web was around on 10 February 1980 and someone had posted they'd seen a certain someone with Big Lawrie out at Ampfield. Stranger things have happened my son.
  2. Robert Pires quoted as saying..."the challenge of getting a team like Leicester promoted is appealing, especially with maybe two seasons left in my legs." I reckon HCDAJFU and is just the sort of character needed to bring back the good old days with a bit of class
  3. I wasn't bothered seeing Macca - I still can't forgive him for Dance Tonight and when I heard Doobli Dah from the tent. Tried to make it back for James but that was it for me. 6am ferry and an attempt at sleep was my priority. Strokes kicked ass, as did Flo, JayZee I'm told but I was wasted and can't remember him. Not my usual style but Pink was great and then there was Spandau, they were spot on

ML uses financial clout to spread sideways to the river buying up the gravel co(sorry employees but sure it could be relocated somewhere along the river), Britannia Rd gets diverted under the stadium, tat part of the the waterside begins its regeneration - job done

is it so hard to open a station at SMS and get on the bandwagon by reducing the clubs carbon footprint? We have great train links and come on, we'd have to have won 3 Premierships and a CL to be getting in a regular 55K. If the extended SMS can hold 54K, that'll be more than enough....unless a few seasons after liquidation the blue few start taking up the colours. Southampton FC should stay in the city. A large city with a successful club is supposed to have a few jams every other week. Why change the habit of a lifetime?
  6. I can't work out which one is giving me this blinding headache. The hangover should be gone from weekend revelries so I can only put it down to the blinkin horns.
  7. when did web design start getting nostalgic about its early days. This is shoddy. I can't see why the old banner couldn't have been used given the size of this - minus the word froum of course. Retro lytpthographics are in but I fail to see the attraction of this one even though it harks back to a golden era when I was watching Saints a whole lot more regularly. It'd do on a tee-shirt but this site should've stayed well clear. Are you sure you never got the same designer who came up with the blob to do this? Sorry.....IMHO
  8. pity, thought we'd get a better look at it on the Umbro site but no show. Looks fanstastic though. Just what we wanted wasn't it? https://ssl.saintsfc.co.uk/dept.asp?...9564&shopperid= that'll do though
  9. someone wake me up when something concrete happens
  10. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2067351,00.html just get on with it FGS's
  11. I live in Brixton myself & agree there's many of all creeds and colours out there who support England, but this is a metropolitan centre which is bound to be multicultural. The rest of the nation though witnessing some degree is by far and away still Anglo Saxon. Like I say, our multicultural heritage should be acknowledged but this is simply the efforts of those that are too concerned with the pc brigade who are too soon to bring out the arguement that the cross of St George & any other showing of national pride is a step towards the far right. I would hope our ethnic cousins would be as offended by this as anyone else. Added to that, this only gives fuel to the fire to those who espouse the values of the BNP & that other crowd of halfwits who tried attaching themselves to football a while back. English National League or something or other.
  12. anyone else think the ad is cringeworthy in its attempts to be all pc and give equal status in numbers to our ethnic countrymen? I'm all for acknowledging our multi-cultural status but even my middle eastern missus who just got her indefinite leave to remain visa having done the 'how English are you test', pointed out the country was still by far an Anglo-Saxon one. You can just imagine the client-agency meetings with people fretting about how many of this and what about that.
  13. Yeah well i got bored of logging on only to find nothing new, just a load of rehashed rumours & plenty of slagging off so i thought i'd enquire about my other passion
  14. anyone heard of a new deal being struck to supply us with refreshments. I hope the quality goes up and they source locally. A pint of well kept Ringwood 49er would go down well
  15. I don't personally care about how anyone looks apart from the 11 players on the field. I haven't worn a replica kit since I was 13 (Patrick, Rank Xerox) and quite frankly anyone wearing one who has moobs - shouldn't as they are way too old to be wearing colours which includes me
  16. Holy Sh1t. Is someone seriously having a laugh? I've just seen the viral on the OS which depicts 'iconic' kits from our history. They show the pony Pony kit with the frickin V for gads sakes. No Patrick, no Admiral. WhoTF is running the show down there?
  17. in light of the red nose on our badge, i fear the judgement of those deciding on our kit. Surely you can't knacker up a simple blinkin sash
  18. not in my capacity to do so but Kev and Claus could shuffle left a little and move groups moved behind the Saints Web box and job's a goodun. The badge could be downsized and moved down a little so as not to cover Ron's face. Maybe the bottom line of the box could follow the water in the badge. Sizing seems fine to me as I measure it across with my fingers on the screen
  19. has anyone thought about simply bunching up the players on the current banner under the title box, deleting 'forum' and adding the new tag line underneath where the web address is? simples
  20. I can confirm Richie is a complete **** when he's had a drink
  21. the current banner has class, everything else is a step backwards tho Rabbit's Friday attempt is by far the best of what's on offer at the mo
  22. Now HCDAJFU for sure
  23. blinding research, thanks, great stuff
  24. granted, I was thinking more about the layout
  25. ummm, that rocks. I think you've utilised the element of stripping it to the bear bones and utilising the one element that has always been southampton, ie the roses, and come up trumps. maybe the claim of Sheffield Utd is because of the prominence of black and the Saints at the bottom maybe too much.....it's the best yet though .........IMHO BTW how would you update it for the years past the 125th anniversary?
