It still beggars belief that people actually go out and pay £40 - £50 for a sports shirt. But what really rankles amongst all of this is the complete lack of communication from the club as to why. As someone pointed out on twitter, just what is the point of Jordan Sibley. It seems there are no releases from the club and a team of first year media students could knock out the instagram posts and video blogs

Just in from the News comments section... Fact remains that the vast majority of Southampton's fanbase are posh, snooty, pretentious and obviously can't take a joke. They're not the sharpest knives in the drawer either, a bit like the Fast Show's "Tim, nice but dim"! We're posh, haha. 'kin 'ell, never had that one thrown at us from anywhere south of Rochdale

Isn't this where @RadhijadiOff comes in?

How many people on here? A fiver each from SWF, official supporters club and club members to be doubled by the club could do it. A growing collection to be held and displayed at the club, recognising who the purchases were funded by. Hatch, would you not like to give your kids a bung for a deposit on their first mortgage for example? This is not a matter of the club supporting them, it's a matter of not letting it go into private hands where fans won't ever be able to see it.

Holy theme for this years kit - just a theory

That kind of dyed in the wool tradition means nothing to our fair leader. -
It truly astounds me when people say it's only a kit but they are entitled to their opinion. Support the club not the kit sounds a load of balls to me. What frustrates me most is the complete lack of discourse between the club and fans. It's put up or shut up as far as I can see. in fact it's not even that, I doubt they'd care if there was a Tahir Sq style protest outside the megastore, we'd still not get an explanation as to the why's and wherefores of the change. I know there are more important things in life nowadays to get worked up about but this totalitarian regime really makes my blood boil.

I like your thinking but somehow doubt it's the thought process gone through. A much more interesting read than most posted on here though and thanks for that -
Most teams' kits were. There's no reason to suggest why it would. Why would you suddey honk what a great kit because we won something in I. Out of interest, who might have bought for instance an 80-85 inspired shirt out of those of us who haven't bought a shirt for 10-20-30 years. Even if it was something to bring out of the packaging admire and then put away in the knowledge football shirt wearing is for football players and kids. I would have considered it. If anyone tells me what does it matter what they wear they have no idea.

What is aggravating me is NC's utter contempt for us. No explanation about the change to block colours, nuffin. nish, nowt. There are a zillion better Adidas designs this year & as for us not being big enough to be designed exclusively for, who the hell were those MLS minnows with the tri blue striped effort? We could have had any one of the Adidas efforts available but some t wat went for this abomination. It stinks

43 & spirited down under a few years back to Melbourne. Can't remember the first game but it would have been late 70's or early 80's at the age or 9 or ten with my more daring cousin from Northam. We stood behind the goal in the Milton end where I took up residence for a few years after that. The same cousin supported Arsenal as his nan lived round the corner from Highbury, so my first away was stood silently bricking it in the North Bank at 14. I think we lost 2-1 - obviously I never celebrated our goal.
-
The usual damning of those that reject us I see. Could it not be a damning indictment on the pulling power of MP and the selling ability of the club of NC that is at question or quite simply, we ain't big enough for these players ambitions (no matter how some on here perceive us to be).

How about the black pinstripes to send us all to oblivion? Cracking work itchen_dan Actually that can keep for next season, don't want to rush things

We went out of both cups early, these men are looked after by sports scientists who let the gaffer know what levels of excercise each player requires, they are young and are effectively running at full pace for 50 minutes per week. Tired, I ask you
