  1. Just when is this "Bournemouth are going to mess up" theory going to come about? I've been hearing it since November. Is it the money about our place that halts the team's ability to gel like our 'lesser' south coast neighbours?
  2. A recent thread asking what was your first Saints game/favorite underrated player etc asked at then end where we realistically might be in 5 years. I thought the answers were on the whole very pessimistic. I'm starting to fear they might be right
  3. RIP Dean and best wishes to your family. Way too young to go
  4. apologies The9 then for starting it. Anyway, end of
  5. Why bring this up in what was until then a mildly interesting thread? As for me, there's a kids size away early Patrick non sponsor lurking in my Dad's loft somewhere. Home and away Pony tick monstrosities in my loft back in London which I've threatened with chucking out on numerous occasions but couldn't seem to do it. And then an unopened anniversary shirt from a few years back which given it's unopened, I can't say one way or the other whether it's shoite or not
  6. 6 hrs, 350 views, 10 replies and I haven't been slagged off. I'm impressed. I'll sleep soundly tonight. Bon soir my fellow Sotonians
  7. I despair coming on here. Is there ever a good news story that one or another trashes? We used to be known as a friendly family club. I don't go on other clubs' boards so can't say one way or another whether they suffer the same negative, back stabbing, trolling shown on here. One thing's for certain, if ML is logging on from up above, he surely would be wondering why he bothered trying to bring some joy to a city that it seems have a major contingent who are simply out to bash whomever and whatever is said or done within or around the club. I realise if all there was to speak about was the last or upcoming games, rumours of upcoming signings or reminisces of times past etc, the board would not be as busy, but I for one would probably stick around for a little longer, read a little more and maybe even post once in a while. We all seem guilty of it from time to time and more often with others but come on.... This is Southampton. Be proud we're on the march to the Prem, smile at your fellow Saint and put an end to all this shoite stirring. The sun is out in Melbourne, I'm feeling good today so why don't you?
  8. he could have but there's too many lazy journalists out there and the title is easy for the viewer/reader to take in. As I say, not around to comment on your closing statement. Can you prove this? Simply devil's advocate here
  9. you need to read on beyond the first couple of posts. Don't know the guy, not been in the area to hear him comment on all things Saints in the media and wasn't mugged at Silverspoons. What I can tell you is that the media will have given him the tag of fans spokeman. He could have refused requests but I can assure you the media will have been persistent when calling him.
  10. NA -"Jason (Puncheon's) head has not been right...he was due to travel with us but he was not in the right frame of mind." I'm astounded. Get shot of this useless piece of garbage. I wish my boss could see when I've had a bad weekend and send me home. Who the hell do these players think they are nowadays? Go home to mummy you spoilt little shoite
  11. not at all IMO frackin plum now if you'd said he looked like he was about to enter in the Thracian dance in the hope it would attract interest from Panathinaikos etc after his impending sacking, you might've got a laugh.....10 months ago oh and your comment about your employees is almost as laughable as the eedjit who backs up his racist slur with 'but one of my mates is black'
  12. Is it my atrocious Vodafail connection that's not allowing me to link to the fb site or something more sinister?
  13. now this I am up for. Just looked at overseas & realised an enq of mine was answered. Apologies for that. Bumped into a lad at the Boxing Day test in the sash & an ol fella in an 03 cup final shirt. Something special about seeing the colours abroad, especially this far. Not been to the Dickens yet. Is it 9bux+ like the rest of this ripoff place? Sooner i start earning the dollar the better. Converting what i brought is doing my nut in. That said, will be happy to pay whatever if we stuff the reds. COYS
  14. born and bred in Sholing up until 20 then moved to Lovedean ....for love (ok shoot me, she was a Pompey lass). Great in the early 90's sticking it to Pompey college friends. Then to Farnham (boring as) and onto London in 97. In Melbourne since December. A Saint through and through and don't anyone dispute it.
  15. A pleasing couple of results but let's not get carried away, the table doesn't lie and we're a loss or two from dropping off the pace. I'll be a lot happier once we have a few away wins under our belt. I just hope we don't hear 'the mid winter pitches at away grounds didn't suit our game' comments over the coming months.
  16. just arrived. I was hoping to make a Heart game my first since our colours matched but it looks like it'll have to be the Victory this coming Saturday against Perth. Anyone going?
  17. so good
  18. This exactly. Also, The inet has a lot to answer for in its generating of expectations of a continual stream of news. Sometimes there just isn't any.
  19. Walked out of the apartment Mrs Y booked us into today for a stroll into town and found we're about 500 yards from the MCG, result. Was going to go for the afternoon session against Victoria but this jetlag is killing me. Popped back for a power nap and was out till 7. Looks like I'll have to wait to Boxing Day for the first cricket fix. I'll be looking out for the Saints On Tour lads
  20. fook missed that just in from Cast at Shepherds Bush
  21. Chin - Richmond for 5 weeks then bayside if Mrs B has her way. I suspect the budget will have more of a say. Will be watching Corky hahaha now there's a surprise dp worth a try lrl
  22. haha shows how long ago I last wore a footy shirt got a 76 anniversary shirt boxed away somewhere, never worn oh and somehow I've never been able to chuck the home and away Pony tick shirts which really were pony. Bought as a joke because I hated them so much by the then girlfriend who had a weird sense of humour. Then again, she was from Lovedean. They won't be going down under
  23. Seen plenty of other colours but no sashes. Are there any available in the Saints stores in town. Need an XL. Still unavailable on the online store and I'm up in London. Failing that anyone want to lend me one? I'll be at the Boxing Day Test, if all goes to plan. I'll courier it back washed and ironed. Looks like it'll be a sweaty one. Emigrating this Tuesday to Melbourne.
  24. one for the old timers on the forum.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=47s2xu0UGjE
