Let's just hope it's someone with a few bob so we never end up in this situation again!!

Beggars/choosers is right! It's what we got! For what it's worth I saw Paterson twice and I thought he looked confident and he can certainly finish. I was anticipating John holding the ball and teeing Paterson up, rather than going for golden boot himself. I don't reckon Saga will be around to partner John but of course he should take preference if he is!

First bit of good news for a while! Paterson & John up front would soon see us turn over this -10. Just need a buyer now! Is Stern rich?

Glenn Whelan always always plays a blinder against us. As many of my mates are Wednesday fans it was a big relief when they sold him!
-
LMAO! +1 The only game i saw him do well was against Barnsley away, 2-2. Seen 10's of bad performances since that. Good riddance.

Southampton 1885 FC? Would break my heart but I'd never even consider supporting another established team.

Made a note in my diary today. Simply reads "bugg3r"

That one!!

Too young to remember but Dad was pleased, by all accounts

Tommy Widd +1 - always liked him and I think he'd be worth a go. 2nd choice Tisdale.

*nervously raises hand before speaking* Not to start any trouble but I have a problem with what BWP earns!

I know 2 Southampton-based Spurs fans who really really hate us - to the point where they'd rather beat us than Arsenal! As I only just snuck in as a product of the 70's I don't remember the early stuff but I do remember in the 90's my father & I watching us go 2-0 up in the Cup. He was so happy. Then the horror of Ronny Rosenthal's hattrick. That really cemented my dislike for Spurs. I agree with the opinion aboe that the Spurs fans are arrogant - the ones I know certainly dish it & can't take it back. Of course 'Arry being there now just rubs salt into the wound! Loved it when it looked like them and pompey could both be going down!

According to League rules if we're in administration on May 10th we're ineligible to take part in the league competition next season. With all the "are we/aren't we" and "appeals" talk going on I'm sure I speak for most when I say I'd rather have someone in well before Sunday, so as not to give the League another potential stick to beat us with.

Tisade, Magilton, Tommy Widd...would welcome any of them. All grafters and all would do well with our young squad, I'm sure.

Underprivileged kids? And now you're trying to make them Saints fans...poor little beggars!

Club we should have a vendetta against over the points deduction

I'd like Barnsley to go down - Oakwell's right on my doorstep -
"Schoolboy football on the Common...jumpers for goalposts...enderaing image isn't it? mmm? Marvellous" Would need to be a fairly big banner

+1 I've noticed this too. With the exception of Saeij's strike against Watford, all our set piece and "last third" play is woeful. We rely on other teams putting the goal on a plate as we create nothing. No ideas, no tactics. Even during games the players seem to be on autopilot. An example against Sheffield Wednesday - their right back (number 21) was awful for the first 15 minutes - made loads of mistakes - didn't like being rushed - miskicked and put the ball out. But after exposing this we never went down to that corner again!! The team were playing badly for 70 minutes before Wotte noticed and made some rather odd changes. Against Palace they had an outfield player in goal for 10 minutes...how many shots did we have? FFS we should have been shooting from halfway!! This reminds me of the stick Sven used to get when he was England manager. We just don't bother to play to our strengths and we don't seem to bother investigating or even noticing other teams' weaknesses. I am so frustrated

What are Saints players current transfer values
OfnPanad replied to The Fat Controller's topic in The Saints
I'm looking forward to when we clear the way for a bunch of over 35's..."experience is the answer" will say our new manager.... When we are sinking to the bottom of League 1, we'll play a few 17 yr olds, look good for a few weeks...before collapsing and ending up rel'd again... At least that would be the story with Rupert in charge. God I hope we get a new owner that knows more about football than my gran!! -
On my way now with my sister - traffic on the M25 is shockingly bad...I'm hoping that will be the only bad shock tonight. An 8-0 win will see us out of the bottom 3! Come On You Reds!!! Wonder if Ladbrokes will have any odds on that?

Even if we "escape" sanction from the FA this sort of thing leaves us wide open to be sued along the lines of Sheffield Utd vs West Ham.

What a load of old....!!! It's bad enough without people making stuff up...I know it's April Fools Day but the threat of Admin is real and you should get some bl00dy perspective and make your jokes elsewhere.
