Maybe I've misunderstood it then. I thought it meant the top clubs leaving their leagues for a euro competition instead, with the possibility they may be relegated back to their domestic league. That's what I'd like tbh
-
Sounds fantastic tbh. Let us play in a top League where we have a chance of winning if we are the best run, like used to happen pre the 90s. Our chances of winning anything these days are very slim no matter what we do, this would change that

Oh dear Chris Wood...
-
Quite. I’m sure there were people saying he’d earnt his entire salary just for his debut when he scored the winner at old Trafford! Not that I agree but I also couldn’t say he’s been a waste of money either. His performances in the early days had him getting talk of an England callup
-
That’s not the same as a regret though. You wouldn’t regret getting 98% in a test because you could have got 100%, unless the person is a perfectionist, in which case they’re doomed to a miserable existence anyway
-
Disagree. My mistakes have led me to where I am today, and if I’m happy with that, why would I have any regrets?
-
Took me a while to realise that meant straight from the horses mouth. Thought it was kiss my ass at first!!

Holland seems to always do well when called upon. Not sure why he's not been given a better crack than he has so far - albeit I've never actually seen him play!

Can we possibly have a Tedious Argument thread to supplement the Kindergarten one on the other board?? Would really help in here right now
-
sheesh... anyone getting worked up over this needs to get out more and get laid... in that order
-
Looking at the table we’ve scored the most batting points out of anyone in the top tier! Shows we are moving in the right direction with the bat to go with our very good bowling line up
-
Ah but he did! There was an interview where he said he continued to give everything for Southampton! It was evident by his surly attitude and weight gain during that season... Not to mention him refusing to train Mane signed a contract with us then refused to sign another one, thus forcing our hand. Would he have thrown his toys out if we'd refused to sell him to Liverpool? We'll never know. Vd signed a new contract for more money then demanded a move soon after. Compromise was needed on both sides, however as far as I can see it vd just dug his heels in until he got what he wanted.

Delighted for Mane. Not for van ****, nor lovren. Ambivalent about lallana

It’s quite interesting reading their boards at the moment. Plenty are supportive of the clubs stance, which surprised me. http://www.cardiffcityforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=206083 It’s a morally repugnant move, although if it was saints in this position we’d have plenty of idiots on here stating we shouldn’t pay as well no doubt

Crimes against humanity, or simple black-market boot-legging?
Barsiem replied to ooh it's a corner's topic in The Saints
Well given the 3 named allegedly made £5m from their steams they are the rich! I agree penalties seem disproportionate, but guessing that as well as providing streams they would have been up to other things like laundering the proceeds, which would potentially have affected the term. -
Really wish there was a function to append this to the opening post... Thanks for looking this up. I was sure they'd be a multitude of posts slating tadic from the op. The trolling (even if unintentional) on here is ridiculous and could really do with being clamped down on... My view is I'm delighted to see Tadic perform so brilliantly last night. It was an iconic performance that he'll never better I suspect. He was a great (if inconsistent) servant for us who gave us 4 years. Perhaps we sold him for too little, but I'd rather sell quality players cheaply after 4 years than have scenarios like van **** which leaves a very sour taste. Congrats Dusan!

Given the content in there Cardiff may have a point. If nantes were involved in the flight in anyway Cardiff have a right to be peed off. Sounds more like it was the agents fault though. Not convinced on the not registered with the premier league bit either. That shouldn't matter either way

Sorry this was in response to OldNick (forum posting fail....)

I'm actually a little stunned by this.... You think a very well know footballer passing at the age of 81 is somehow more important than a current top level, though much less well known, footballer dying in tragic circumstances?? Gordon Banks is one of England's all time greats, but his passing at this time pales in comparison. And you're also ignoring that fact that a huge amount of the Sala thread is discussing how the event occurred, as well as a fair bit of mean spirited comments about Cardiff milking it for all it's worth and it somehow being OK for a couple of Saints fans to mock Cardiff supporters about the tragedy. Relatively little of the posts is in tribute to the player. For all that, it is indeed sad that one of Englands greatest players has passed. RIP Gordon

I seem to recall the Pahars one was when he kicked his left leg with his right one, fell over as a result and got the pen! I also seem to recall there was no defender within a yard of him! If my memory is correct, that has to be the dodgiest penno we've had in the modern era

See I thought Redmond was a bit poorer than he has been recently today, which shows how good he has been in recent weeks. Spot on re the team performance (excluding Cedric unfortunately)
-
Really surprised at the MotM poll. Hojbjerg by a country mile for me. Don’t think he put a foot wrong all game. Won every tackle, didn’t misplace any short passes, and was barking instructions to his teammates to ensure we had a good shape. Hope he remains captain when Bertrand comes back
-
Sheesh what a load of ****e... if we’d been relegated we almost certainly would be a lot higher than that! So what exactly is the point of that table
-
I would pay good money to hear this sung at a football game!

It’s funny all this continual criticism of Reed. I distinctly remember him getting flack in the summer because he allegedly wanted to look at other candidates and not appoint Hughes full time. Now he’s getting flack for the compensation paid to a manager he didn’t want!
