same team as the one we did against swansea but I would bring on long instead of jay rod. he did nothing today and I feel shlong would of offered more.

So iT looked pretty clear that come the end of January we didn't get another striker to which many saints fan starting to worry were the goals were going to come from. Pelle,s goals had dried up, long was out and jay rod no one new what was going on with him. Now with a big game pending and with long back and jay rod hopefully back next month do we still need another one? If we got CL (which I think we will do, hopefully) will jay rod stay? If not could we attact a better player? Personally I think we should break the bank for Benteke, shoots from outside of the box and needs the service which we can provide plus Europe will persuade him more. Do you think we need someone else? Or is what we have good enough?

Finally a post that speaks words! so many people just calling other people "jizz cocks" and "over the top" I remember when driving home from Liverpool away last season and hearing on the radio a saints fan saying "we played Yeovil last season, now we played Liverpool and beat them in their back yard this season and next season we will be beating bayern munich in CL!" - This was like in September! I just loved that fact that no-one could begrudge a saints fan for being that so optimistic about beating liverpool! thats what makes our club/fan based so good, you dont get that anywhere else. good times are well and truly continuing....

ok so lambert has left us pretty much all but confirmed which leaves the famous saints number up for grabs, who do you think should get it? My vote goes to JWP or Isgrove! discuss....

so then... after much confusion on what's happening with players/managers/coaches/tea-ladys I think its time just to sit back and breathe for a second: Poch has gone and Lambert is pretty much all but gone, Lallana and shaw are a possibility of leaving too. we seem to be linked with complete dross on twitter/tabloids when it comes to managers! Houghton/Clarke/Howe/Rosler are all below par for how big our club is... now we have been linked to managers such de Boer and koeman and Moyes, all 3 of those managers would keep our best players at bay and bring in quality as well! they would also get a big transfer kitty which has been reported by Blackmore and others, so clearly the club wants to achieve Europe! its horrible to see Lambert go but he is 33 next year and isn't getting any younger, he could have a terrible run of games next season and everyone would get on at him like they did last season. so a new high profile manager, new players, clearly we want to get into Europe. doesn't sound so bad huh? The future looks potentially very good! COYR

sorry for the lack of info in the thread title but I wanted to get some opinions... Lets say MP and lallana leave this summer. Poch goes to tottenham and lallana is sold to liverpool for around 35 million causing a meltdown on here and twitter (god knows that happens all the time) BUT Saints enquire of the status of david moyes/frank de boyer etc, they also enquire about players along the lines of el shawwrawy and Lukaku and caulker etc. what If that happend? how would you feel? we MAY have to accept this could happen but Im sure they will both stay. Is there anyone else you would like to take charge in case MP leaves? and who would you like to fill in lallanas boots while more youth players come through? lets be honest it wont be long untill this Josh sims lad comes into the first team! in theory.... we need another GK,LB (cover for shaw) A pacy winger and another ST the only problem is getting these sorts of players in not many LB players will want to be on stand by behind a 18 year old Depending what will happen with Osvaldo (assuming he will sign for juvenitus) I can defo see another striker coming Boruc for me is starting to crack a bit, he made many mistakes against Norwich for which bigger teams will use against us! just hope we can keep hold of our main players and bring in a few good ones, El shawwary maybe?

Now Im not one for change that much, but for saints to come the richest club in the premier league?! that has a nice ring to it! I somehow don't believe this will happen but if and that's a big IF, this takeover did happen and cortese came back as chairman that would be a hell of a move from the don bigger stadium? more money for transfer/fee so bigger players? maybe ticket prices could go down? or though there could be a downside a re-makeover to saints colours selling of best players with mediocre one coming in season tickets and normal ticket prices so expensive no one can afford them but I guess we will just have to see..

shouldn't we see this as the same situation as Pardew and fonte's wife? just the other way round?

in a heartbeat. hes got potential, good pace and work rate. good friends with clyne from their CP days, can fill gastons shoes as clearly hes not going to be here come the end of the January transfer window BUT I don't see man utd letting him go to a rival PL team....
