  1. lots of experience going down?
  2. Basically it will be determined by our home form; at present we have 7 points fewer than any other team in the league- truly abysmal. If we can win a one of the next couple of home games we should be ok, if our run carries on beyond that, we’re knackered. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/home.html Away form says we’re actually better than the average CCC side, that’s the most frustrating thing about this season. http://stats.football365.com/dom/ENG/D1/away.html
  3. hmmm tricky decision then
  4. Obviously plane crashes are a good way to do that :-|
  5. But- what if what's on the ipod isn't exactly the same as what is stored on any given PC? Surely this is the most common scenario? I have stuff on a laptop that was downloaded from a friend's portable HD, plus stuff - mostly ripped CDs on a PC. Some of this stuff has been edited (titles, lists etc) on the ipod only. I was under the impression it was possible to download everything from the ipod (some kind of work around using it as an external drive)? This would be my the ideal solution for me ie get everything in one place and then use that as the new base for imported CDs and everything else. I do recall this q being asked on here at least a couple of times before, and there being an answer along these lines. (Plus an annoying person who replied several times saying oh its so easy just look at the apple forums without actually saying how to do it). Anyone help with this?
  6. However, if you offered me their league position now at the end of the season, hands would be bitten off...
  7. What a fvck up. I think you're right though Hatch. Make's no sense for KP to jump ship competely just as the ashes are coming up, for personal reasons if nothing else. I wonder if both being sacked was the only way the ECB could go for now (ie they can't be seen as being dictated to by players) and then after a suitable penance KP will be back as captain in the future. Only problem with that is who is captain now... and can the avoid being a lame duck stand-in until the messiah returns...? Like others have said, just when the Aussies look on the way down, we self-destuct in classic fashion.
  8. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/t/tottenham_hotspur/7814846.stm Absolutely classic C***knapp. Why do people still buy this 'if it goes wrong it was like that when I got here if it goes right it's down to me' sh!te?
  9. Why do people constantly refer to 'the motorist' as if they were some kind of distinct oppressed minority? People who drive a car. That's you, me, and most of the rest of the country.
  10. I don't think that's generally a problem though...
  11. Well that's somewhat simplistic, but in generaly terms that is the accepted view. Where are you going with this (maybe I shouldn't ask... plus I haven't actually registered here so I guess that's me done for the day anyway...)
  12. Your 'interest' doesn't actually extend as far as reading and understanding them then?
  13. I guess the (remaining) indigenous populations of Canada and Australia might have something to say about that view. If you want a sensible (ie non-racial) discussion of the divergent fates of countries and continents I suggest you read this book http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guns,_Germs,_and_Steel
  14. Likewise...I'm not an overly emotional person and I'm not sure what my feelings would have been 6 months ago, but as the father of a 5 month old son I wept when I read the story. Those photos of the blood-stained baby clothes are just heart-braking. Now I just don't want to see or read any more about it and will flip the channel / turn the page when it next comes up again. And I can honestly say that it makes me feel better that this person probably will suffer some of the same fear, pain and misery when they get to prison.
  15. The selectors are going to have to bite the bullet sooner or later... a batting line-up with Flintoff and Ambrose at 6 and 7 is just weak... averaging barely 55 as a pair. Flintoff is 30 now and will only ever a be a bowling all-rounder, ie when his bowling doesn't more or less justify a slot on its own (it does at the mo) you can't pick him. Ambrose is just not good enough... if he were an oustanding WK there'd be an argument for persisting with him, but he isn't.
  16. And exactly what 'principle' would that be then?
