Even if the image rights tax is contestable, the HMRC fines component would be harder to contest. Also, if AA says HMRC only are owed 24m, and that represents only 18.7% of the unsecured debt, a little maths implies that AA is claiming the total unsecured debt is now 128m. So HMRC themselves will contest that outrageous figure. In summary: HMRC will probably fight to reduce the 128m total unsecured debt figure, and at the same time increase their claim to higher than 24m. A little tweak at both ends will get them to 25%.

It's a bit premature to say that. Let's wait....

A Swindon fan backs this up.... (from a P**** forum): Beware of Andrew Andronikou, he is a nasty bit of work I am a Swindon Town fan and He was the administrator of Swindon Town. He will talk the talk but in practice he was very dodgy indeed. He came very close to the previous board who almost bankrupt STFC, he will likely stand side by side with Storrie and blame the fans for the state of the club as opposed to looking for a path forward. - He slagged the Swindon Town fans off calling them “busy bodies” as opposed to trying to build bridges with fans - Despite completing our CVA well over a year ago Andronikou has yet to issue a completion certificate, bringing out credit score down along with it. - Found new shareholding/investment in the club “BEST” Holdings a group from Portugal who promised to bring millions in and did nothing and ultimately they disappeared off the face of the earth. They also brought in “star players who will bring money abck in the future” all 3 players, Ibon Arrieta, Franklin Anzite and Mauro Almeida have disappeared off the face of the earth in 2007. - Refused to meet with supporters groups and instead wanted to battle or argue with them as opposed to come up with a productive way to move forward - Supervised a CVA but allowed the previous board to shell out £25,000 for Paul Ince who palyed 2 games and signed Dennis Wise and Gus Poyet on big contracts the club could not afford - Put all their eggs in one basket and hoped a new stadium or ground redevelopment would clear the debts, Still no new ground - When Andronikou said to local papers that "we are adjusting the CVA to give the club more time to pay" , when the creditors were approached they said they had no contact. - Constant winding up orders cropped up despite being told that the CVA had been paid. - CVA Paymenets were not made on time, Andronikou is supposed to ensure this happens, he did nowt. Be prepared for more failed promises, wishes of millions that will never materialise. You think things are bad now, they are about to get even worse. The only advantage is atleast your plight is national lose instead of being a "little league one club" Thank God Andrew Fitton and his consortium took over Swindon Town in the end or god knows where we would be.

Currently it reminds me of P*****'s (and other) amateur forums. But be patient, they are working on improving it, so if they can make it just like it used to be, it will be perfect. -

Is there any way of finding posts prior to the change? When doing a "find all posts" by a user it only shows the handful made after the change. -
Spot on.

Who's arguing with that? Of course they should. The creditors will be richer with 60-99p than if they get 20p in the pound (obviously). The point I was making is that it appears that Griffin would be working for the benefit of creditors, and not for the club (and quite rightly so).
-
I don't see how getting 60p-99p in pound back to the creditors, as opposed to on 20p, will make the club stronger. The creditors will be richer, but not the club, which will have to survive (if it can) on a shoestring.

A good summary of the similarities and differences between Leeds and the CHEATING BASTARDS. The big difference of course are the huge parachute payments, the promise of which is keeping the rotten corpse on life support.

Why would you want them to pass away peacefully?

AA: "If our proposals are not accepted on Thursday, we will adjourn the meeting for up to 21 days. We can then come back with another proposal. "But if that was not accepted, we would have to try to sell the club in administration. "There would be a risk of another points deduction for breaking Football League rules. "That, and the large debts, would make it very hard to sell the club. And if we can't sell, then it would be a case of closing the club down. Thursday is a huge day, but I'm confident we'll do it." In other words, if you don't play by our rules say goodbye to the club, the parachute payments, and you'll get sod all. He's bluffing, creditors! CHEATING BASTARDS

The most boring and bored commentator ever. When a goal goes in you can almost hear him yawning. They should use Derek Rae for the big matches. -
Germany are masters of finding the easiest route to the final. Don't be surprised if they contrive to finish second in their group.
-
People are suggesting that AA and UHY Hacker Young could be finished by the end of this soap opera. But ask yourself: if you're a dodgy owner of a company that has to go into administration, and want to shaft the genuine creditors, who would be a better choice as administrator? Surely there could be a lot of work after this is all over? CHEATING BASTARDS
