But then why all the shenanigans of tearing up contracts to avoid the embargo and bring in stonger players? Why turn down offers for Smith and Wilson? Why hire Cotterill and not some cheaper mickey mouse manager? Don't forget that even when the transfer window closes they can bring in loans (their strategy last year).
