  1. Yes, but we're talking about Cheating Lying Bastards FC here, where up is down, back is front, an embargo means bringing in players, a wage cap means continuing spending like a drunken sailor, amounts owed to creditors swing wildly up and down by £100 million to suit their purposes, and every rule out there means nothing to them.
  2. Oi! Careful. I resemble that remark.
  3. Shane Warne must be smiling. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/cricket/article-363135/Warne-slams-Fultons-stupid-decision.html
  4. Any creditor who voted for the CVA (i.e. everyone except HMRC, Hart and one or two others) is getting exactly what they deserve (which is probably SFA).
  5. I think you're being too generous about AA: he'll round it down to 0p.
  6. Sturrock at Saints: W 5 D 2 L 6 = rate of 50 points per season. And that with a squad decimated by injuries. Hardly out of his depth, and certainly no bloody disaster. You seem to be confusing Sturrock with Wigley (1 win in 14 league matches).
  7. Which is exactly how the Leicester fans feel about Pearson.
  8. A lot of saints fans were saying that about the other Nige.
  9. We need a nasty Nige to turn it around, just like last time.
  10. If I were a dishonest, self-serving crook "owner" of a despicable, morally-bankrupt cesspit of a club, I would skirt around a transfer embargo (using brown envelopes as necessary), bring in players at unsustainable wages, make excuses why I couldn't pay them on time, and see if said mercenaries can miraculously get my club close to promotion. If half way through the season it appears that my club doesn't stand a chance of going up, I'd renege on the wages (as well as paying anything to the idiotic unsecured creditors who voted for my CVA), and let the club (which I detest, but don't tell that to their moronic fans) free fall to oblivion. I'd still hang around and delay winding up long enough to pocket the remaining parachute payments of course, as well as getting 80% of all transfer fees of the players I could sell, and not give a toss about the 500 point penalties the FL will impose for breaking every rule in the book. All hypothetically, of course.
  11. Well, that depends whether the said shoebox contains a brown envelope or two.
  12. I've predicted this earlier - BC is gambling for the immense PL riches. It will be interesting to see what his plan is if they fail to go up this season.
  13. Yes indeed, and you can add Nige Pearson to that list. In fact, I feel the same way about Adkins (if he is appointed) as I did when Pearson was appointed: cautiously optimistic. As opposed to when Gray, Wigley, Dudd/Gormless and the Dutch duo were appointed: complete despair.
  14. What had Pearson achieved before he came to us? Not that much.
  15. Oi! I resemble that remark! http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?25020-New-manager-announcement-tomorrow&p=837976#post837976
  16. False. We were in disarray when he arrived and free falling to relegation. In an incredibly short time he installed confidence in the players and pulled it around, and in the end achieved 1.23 points per match (W3 D7 L3), finishing on 54 points. Leicester were relegated on 52 points, a record high amount. It is a complete myth that Saints were lucky to survive. No team in the history of football anywhere in the world have been relegated on 53 points, yet alone 54. And we all know what happened when he joined Leicester, proving his (Lowe-loving) critics completely wrong.
  17. "Your response illustrates perfectly why it would not be in his long term interests to come to Southampton. For sleeping giant read dead parrot."
  18. It is believed that Portsmouth lodged the paperwork for his transfer 15 minutes too late for it to be registered by the FA and Premier League. Discussions are still taking place between Portsmouth and football's top brass to find a loophole. Which is the only thing they're good at. Cheating, lying bastards.
  19. If so, let's hope that HMRC have now had enough practice not to bugger it up again (and they get a judge other than Injustice Mann or the tart who let them off the first time).
  20. Cheats FC will find a loophole for that too.
  21. H-T 0-1. Good England performance so far. Rooney has been outstanding.
