  1. Nice man, shame it did not work out. Thanks Jan, safe journey. ps, before we all jump in with both feet and destroy his name, remember that he is not fully to blame for our mess. He was offered the job, took it and failed. We would have taken it, if offered. My point, he should NOT have been offered it in the first place!

    One fans Despair

Good thing about being a Saints fan on the other side of the world is, a, arguing with yourself, "I'm going to the game!" "Don't be a mug! You know they won't win" "I don't care, I'm going anyway" "Your loss, go if you must, loser!" b, sitting in the stand, feeling like 'Billy No Mates'. Nobody near you to chat to. c, going to the concourse at HT and getting served in minutes. d, walking out at FT, hoping nobody speaks to you, after another loss and sh*%e game. e, getting home in 10 minutes, instead of 45 mins when we were in the Prem. f, getting home and the wife hides her head in the newspaper, which she never reads. Note on kitchen table, dinner in microwave. She then talks about any thing other than Saints. Yep, it must be great to be a Saints fan on the other side of the world. Only 50% of the pain felt by those here.
  3. I've been unable to go for a pee for the past 24 hours! I'm sat here at my PC, wondering what next? This is far better than that spy book I was reading. I'm just waiting for Arnie (" I'll be back") to appear in this somewhere:) Offix, get your finger out and report back to us at base camp!
  4. Calling offix! Calling offix! Please report to the office for some translation work.
  5. 100% correct. I heard this on my way home from SMS and could not believe my ears. I really can't believe that the club were behind this action, in my view it is an over zealous steward.
  6. Being a Saints fan has never been that easy. I seen lots of ups and downs since 1956 and it reminds me on that great western film, the good, the bad and the downright ugly. Ugly is where we are now. As for the game on Sat, I have to be honest and write that I do feel sorry for JP. It is really not his* fault that we are in this position. I won't argue with those that say he is not up to the job. I would argue that he is working with the least talented bunch of players that I have ever seen playing for the Saints. There were players on the pitch that should not be in the 2nd Div, never mind the CCC. But we have what we can afford and that's not a great deal, sadly. * An experiment that looked good (?) on paper, for someone (imo)
  7. Oh, you are a teeeease! You naughty boy, you! I also signed the OSA but unlike saintwarwick, I don't want a PM. I would find it hard to keep such an important secret to myself. Perhaps you could PM LordswoodSaint and then he could tell me?
  8. You want a 'stalking horse'? There is only one that fits that billing, George O'Brien. A top, top forward.
  9. derry, a man of pure good taste:D
  10. LOL! St Will, the above applies to many more on here:( I'm going today, with my grandson. My pal is France playing silly B's with snow and bits of wood you ski on. He rang me yesterday and offered me his ST x 2. Thanks Bazza!!
  11. That's not my grandson! He looks a lot older than 9:rolleyes:
  12. Sorry, I disagree! I think he is very much 'on the ball' and cares for the club's supporters. I'm sure that he is working within a tight budget and needs to get revenue in. Not an easy job, imho.
  13. I would like to go and take young H with me but at £25 for us both to see Saints V Doncaster Rovers, sorry, it looks like the radio again.
  14. As a young lad (mid 50's), I had a Saturday job, helping the milkman in the Polygon (Don). One of the houses I delivered to was in Harborough Road. Tommy Mulgrew was in digs there. I made sure that Tommy's pint of silver top was replaced with a pint of Gold top every saturday (Nothing but the best for a Saints player). Just before KO at home games, I would make myself known to the chap on the door at the Dell and out would come Tommy and I would then be allowed into the Dell for nothing. When I got a little older, I would run bets for several Saints players to the bookies in Bedford place (They were having a beer or three in the Cricketers pub). My reward, I did not pay to see a Saints home match until I was nearly 17.
  15. Can we afford Kaka?
  16. Well done, good result!
  17. Offix, get your finger out! Translate this, pronto:yawinkle:
  18. Get back to work! You got nothing else to do, except looking into your crystal ball? I told you, that Mystic Meg correspondence course would be your undoing:rolleyes: :yawinkle:
  19. I agree, sadly. We were so far out of our depth, we nearly drowned. We can moan "We wuz robbed by the Ref/Lino/Weather/ManUre" as much as we like/want but it doe not hide the facts. Those are, we are like a ship without a rudder and a captain.
  20. Col, try the link in post 43! Good picture but need Art to translate.
  21. I was hoping that you might have the 'flu and I would take the kids instead of you! :yawinkle:

    to be fair

And you needed a NEW thread to tell us?
  24. Funny thing is, my late dear Dad wore his trousers just like that! Mind you, he did have severe dementia:rolleyes: Still, as my wife often tells me, "What do you know about anything, especially fashion!" My wife wants to know how they keep them up? Is it something around the front area. The mind boggles. Great pic, R. Thanks for that:D
  25. That is the most impressive thing I have read on here in years. I wish I could have friends like you. Regarding arsey, I was in Soton today and I was in the queue in Matalan. In front of me was a young man (16?) with his jeans around his knees and his grey underpants on show (skid mark and all!). Where did this new 'fashion' come from? Sort of reminded me of the post above. Can we finish with the smoking thread and have one on 'Showing your underpants/Boxers/G-string/Thong' ?
