Great win at Bris!

Stu, I owe you an apology! I'm the one that needs to go to Specsavers, as I got you mixed up over the Silverspoons and the Green Man pubs. This just cost me £5 (membership) to apologise. I'm now off to hide in a darkened room.

Went to Silverspoons as was meeting people coming from different parts of the country so seemed good option last week. How wrong was I?!!! I wrongly imagined a well run and spacious club feel based on the COYR website advert. For a rennet entry I was paying for the "promised" plenty of bars and extra staff. They had three bars in the main part with only three people serving at each, so they had 9 people to serve potentially two thousand people! You do the math! They did open a cans bar but ran out within an hour!! The music was ok a bit of a mix for all ages but poorly DJ'd. The sound level was too loud because it didn't really get fans singing! They also said in their website that did was available and I didn't see any! And they also said on the tickets that ex-players would be in attendance. Although this wasn't my reason for going in there I didn't see one nor were any introduced, at least between 1030 and 1240 when I was in there! Another very bad illingsworth event!!!! BUT all of the above made no difference to my day, it was a brilliant day to be a Saints fan, had brilliant seats 50 yards from ML and NC, spent the day drinking (slowly!!) with mates and even though my train was delayed for an hour on the way home. seeing Saints fans take over Waterloo was great! Getting off the first train into Waterloo in the morning and everyone singing was a spine tingling moment for me! I was wondering what the staff and police were thinking!! Amazing day, amazing atmoshphere, and hopefully the first of many trips to Wembley!!! just don't go to Silverspoons or any COYR event!!!! Yep, that's how I read it as well. Not sure if there is a Specsaver in Romsey but there is one in Shirley. If you need the exact address, just Google.

Had a 'Big Value' breakfast in Asda, washed down with a sweet cup of tea. Funny thing is, I didn't have to pay £10 to get in! £10 to get into a pub......:butthead: Well done to the organisers;)

I had a fantastic day and our support was superb! Great result and whilst the game was not a classic, we won. Well done to the Carlisle fans that stayed and applauded the Saints players as they did the lap of the pitch.:smt041

I have a spare concession(senior/child) ticket due to illness. The lad two doors up, is desperate to go but is 14! Can he risk trying to get in on a child's ticket? Anyone have an idea what the age group is for tickets? If the answer is No, I will try to sell it on here. This is my third and last post of the day, so if anyone wants to email me on norms.comps@gmail.com to see if it has gone, please do so.

Thanks for the tip! Just altered my route.
-
And that is?
-
I've emailed the TO and asked if it is possible to pay and 'upgrade' a concession ticket. Illness is preventing a senior from traveling and I wonder if I can still use the ticket (if I pay the extra).

Ian, give it a rest! There are many Saints fans that for some reason or another, were unable to get to the area final. Are you saying that if you did not go to that game, you don't deserve to go to Wembley? Shame is, you're not the only one on here that thinks like that!
-
I bet you were one of those "spotty kids" just 5 minutes ago! Well done, Saints.
-
Well done, Swindon! Game plan worked really well and whilst we had chances, so did they. They missed several sitters. I rarely listen to DM on the radio but I would want to listen to an honest commentary. His job is to report on what he sees, not biased towards Saints.

Oh ye of little faith! Dear Mr .............. Thank you for your email. We receive numerous queries and complaints regarding individual referee's decisions and their overall performance. Although we are unable to respond on each individual incident, we can advise that the performances of all officials are constantly monitored by way of club and assessor reports, the match video or DVD and, at some grounds, the Prozone statistics. The match is also analysed by the Referees' Manager, a referees’ coach and the referee and, despite the perception of some, match officials are most accountable for their performance. Referees make their decision based on years of training and experience and what they see at that moment in time, from a position different from anyone else in the ground - he can only act on what he sees, assisted by the other match officials and not everyone will agree with the decisions he takes. Contrary to expectations, the Referees' Manager will not attempt to support a referee out of sheer loyalty. It is his responsibility through Professional Game Match Officials to identify training needs of not only individual referees but also of all National Group officials. The Manager also works with his group in a bid to constantly improve standards in a game which has become faster and more frenetic over recent years. Every match is recorded and referees are under closer scrutiny than ever before. We trust that this highlights to you the procedures in place designed to improve performances and thank you for contacting us with your comments. Norm replied to saints_is_the_south's topic in The Saints
My 4 arrived in the post this morning. Thank you Ticket Office! -
I have just posted the following on the http://www.refworld.com site (have to register first) Peter, can I ask you for an honest answer? How do you think you performed last Saturday, Southampton V Leeds? What did the Assessor write in his report? I've been watching football since 1956 and I think your performance was below the standard required for the Football League. Norman ..............

Thanks, saves me writing the same thing.

I wrote to the FA last night and complained about the Referee. I suggested that he study the match video, with the Match Assessor, and see where he went wrong. I also suggested that he should be demoted to the Conference. saint-stevo, you were ****ed yesterday. Try watching the next game without drink dulling your brain.

I really enjoyed the game today. I thought we outplayed Leeds today and were by far, the much better side! I just could not see Leeds getting a goal today. Our CB's were superb and Puncheon was very good. I also thought that Barnard ran his socks off. As for the Ref, . Dear oh dear, he was poor and to think he ref'd in the Prem. Lets hope the Assessor reports the truth and Walton gets dropped to Sunday football.

Only 6? Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Give me a minute and I'll get my photo copier warmed up. Best of luck, Dean.

As my old dad often said, "Up there's for thinking, them down there's for dancing" Best of luck to those looking for tickets. Any Saints fan selling at a profit, is a ......... (fill the missing word in yourself) As for the quotes, "Plastic fans/tough ****" etc etc I'm glad I haven't paid to sit on your coach.
