Derry, I respect you as a poster but how on earth can you be so positive on Saints position in this farce? None of us know what is going on and to blame one side is, in my view, wrong. My one source at the club informed me that we were unhappy at the compensation asked. I have no idea if this is 100% true but I really don't think we have been blameless in this saga.

How on earth would anyone on here have any knowledge of Adkins intentions. The truth lies somewhere in the middle of what we are being told by SFC and S****horpe FC. Perhaps Adkins wanted the compensation sorted before he resigned. After all, he has been at Scunny for a long time and must have strong feelings towards them.

Stand by for flack from the 'Rose tinted specs' brigade. I have no idea if NC is an asshole or the most wonderful chairman in football. My view, fwiw, is that we offered Adkins the position. He accepted. Adkins had a compensation figure of £? written into his contract. SFC offered Scunny less than that figure. Scunny refused. Adkins was invited to resign by SFC and then the two clubs go to tribunal to fight over compensation. He refused (rightly in my view) for whatever reason (could it be he wanted to look after his 'old' club). End of negations. We (SFC) move to the next target. Adkins= History. Move on.

Did you read the quote from the Scunny chairman and the statement from SFC? They contradict each other! No vitriol, just making the comment that one is telling porkies.

Are you a little thick? Why would I post on here and have supported Saints since 1956 if I wasn't a Saints supporter? Perhaps I'm not blinded to see the other side of the coin, as you seem to be.

If the Scunny chairman's comments are as reported, then he is too good for us! In my view, NC came up against someone with more principles than him. I must say that I admire Adkins stance re compensation to be paid to his current club, before he resigns. The more I read of him, the more I like him. Best of luck with Scunny, Mr Adkins. I'm getting bored with reading it's, 'MON/KK/Adkins/Lippi/Zola/ Uncle Tom Cobley' etc etc. 'He was seen in this hotel/airport/take away'. 'It's today/Tomorrow/Friday' etc etc Not that I have ever watched Big Bovver, I can only imagine how crap it is and this farce seems to be going the same way.
