I've been lucky enough to attend several games in the Lounges and twice as a guest in a Box. Superb way to watch Saints, with good food and a few pints. That said, I do consider it now poor value for money. My neighbour asked me to assist him in booking for 9 members of his family to attend a game up in hospitality as a special occasion. My neighbour is not a 'football man' and had no idea how to arrange this. I contacted the club and he was quoted nealry £2k for a box and nearly £1700 for seats in the lounge. Needles to say, he has given up on the idea and at my suggestion, he and his family (coming from Canada and NZ) will attend a game and afterwards go for a meal to celeberate. I pointed out that you can buy a lot of food and drink for £1300! (£1700 less the cost of 9 match tickets). Another thing that annoys me, not everone attending hospitality can claim back VAT! Why price it as £145 plus VAT? Why not include VAT in the overall cost?

You missed a cracker, B! We played some really good football and made Leeds look very ordinary (imo). Cork was my MOTM. Regards.

Don't forget to pack your baseball cap! Can you bring me back a £1.50 Rolex? Back to the game, should be a cracker with us winning 4-3. I would say that I text you the score but with your iphone/ipad/Mac, you will be listening to it.

Glad to see the time spent at the Approved school was not wasted. Was this sent from Agadir from your Nokia 3160?

I never thought I would live to see the day, when someone on here would write such a reasonable post about our Pompey neighbours! Trouble with most/many Saints fans is that they have no real idea why they have a dislike/hatred of our Blue rivals. I arrived in Southampton in 1956 and lived in Burlington Road (2 minutes walk from the Dell). I would watch Saints (Div 3 South) on one Saturday and my dad would take me down to see Pompey (Div 1) the following Saturday on his Francis Barnet motor bike. OK, Pompey were in a higher div but my home town team got my support. To this day, I have never understood the hatred towards them and likewise from them towards us. To me, they are just another team we have to beat, no more so than Bmth/Burnley/West Ham etc

Boy oh boy! I am really pleased that you will not be representing me in the High Court! (Should I ever happen to be there). -
Where's Javi when we need him?

Thank you for that link! I never tire of watching that.

Time too hands much your on!

NO! Keep it going. I enjoy reading the silly rumours about us signing Owen, Premiership players etc. I love the nasty comments directed at other posters that dare to disagree with another opinion. I love all the farrrrrrr fetched ideas that we are special and deserve to be automatic for promotion etc etc etc

I seem to think you are correct, the Deeley 'incident' did involve our Terry. As for the 9-3 against Wolves, it never ceases to amaze me that we signed the Wolves keeper after that game at the Dell. I was in the Milton Road end that game and wondered if it was a dream!

I always liked Law but not on that day! I don't remember much about the journey home after we stopped in Oxford for a beer or six! Thanks for posting the link.

Oh happy days! Thanks for the photo. I remember George well, a real battering ram!

I would wager that people on here would rather read Davids post than yours! I can't remember every reading a thread started by him that I thought was boring, far from it!

My grandson was lucky enough to be Saints mascot at Anfield 28/12/2004. He was made really welcome by LFC and had photos with LFC players. He also had photos with Saints players in the dressing room prior to the game. For some reason that day, HR dropped Peter Crouch and we met him in the bar prior to the game and he was none too happy! G-son led the team out onto the pitch. Sadly we lost 1-0. Some time into Jan, he was sent a superb photo album of the day by LFC. The weather going up was really bad and it took us 7 hours to reach Liverpool but it was worth it, just to see him as Saints mascot! Hope you manage to get your lad to do it.

I'm not keen to go without my grandson, Patrik. He was visiting family. I later had a second thought and then tried to get a ticket but was unable to do so. Hope you and family are all well?

I'm hoping it is done today (us win and Hudders lose). But I fear that Hudders win get 3 points today.
