The OP wanted to visit the shop, unless he has lived overseas for the past 12 months, he must have been aware of the restrictions at SMS re car parking. He should have either, a/ had enough small change for payment on exit of car park b/parked in the roads around SMS c/paid to park in town and used the store in West Quay. I agree with his point about rude staff (I'm unsure if the staff member was rude, just the OP's word for that) but he must be easily offended if his 'brush' with this 'lady' caused him to put pen to paper (or fingers onto keyboard). My point being, have a moan , move on.

We know the parking restriction is bloody daft BUT we have known about this for the past 12 months. It did not start on 2nd July 2012. It's the same as parking in a Multistorey, you have money to pay or try to find somewhere that is free.
