Just had an email from a pal who went up for the match. 'That was the worst performance by a Saints side that I have seen in nearly 25 years! One or two exceptions, we were DIRE. I'm cringing with embarrassment at how poor we were. I will NOT be going to WBrom on Monday!'
Oh dear.
Stoke manager Tony Pulis is plotting to sign to Southampton striker Rickie Lambert, 30, in the January transfer window in a deal that would see Kenwyne Jones moving to the south coast club.

This reporters scoring of Saints players makes sad reading.
Hope this might help someone going to the game,

What the hell is this? A positive post about a Saints player? I'm off as I must be on the wrong forum.
I've taken some time to get to like him but he is getting better. As to £10? Hmm.
I wonder how telling the quote from NA is, "There is a vision at the club of passing the ball etc". Is he under orders of how the team should play or am I seeing demons that are not there?
How many prospective managers will be aware of 'The Process'? IF such a thing is true? I'm not doubting you but is this all rumour? Every club has an MD or CEO that wants to run the show but it is surely up to a strong manager to kick him into the office.
Seems that RL was not the only one to 'question' Nigel after being taken off in the same game! The answer given, "I thought you looked tired". The reply is unsuitable for family viewing! Please do not think I'm stirring but one or two seem unhappy with their lot at the moment. I really want NA to do well for us and hope he can turn it around. I do wonder if he is fighting with one hand tied?
Far too reasonable an approach for many of the posters on here, sadly. As for miserableoldgit's post, it is possible that Turkish has a link to inside info. Who knows?
I have no knowledge about the inner workings at SFC, but all this carp about NA being told who to play and what formation is utter twaddle imo. I think he picks his own team but I do question some of his decisions. Why change 'keepers today? Why play a CB at LB? Why is he making poor sub' changes?
I hope he can turn things around but fear he might not get the chance.
