We went 0-1 down to the smallest Sunderland player heading in with both posts undefended. We then failed to have anyone on the posts for every Sunderland corner after that. Perhaps it's the new way?

And I was one of them. For the past 10 years I have gone to see Saints with my grandson. This year he wants to go with his mates, it had to come. Just didn't fancy it a, on my jack jones, b, £37 to watch us against Sunderland. Hopefully I will get to a few during the season. As for the attendance, it was good in my opinion considering things mentioned above.

The point I was making, which you and others failed to grasp, was that many on here thought we only had to turn out and we had won. Get it now? We can have 70% of the play and 500 chances but if the ball does not end in the net.................

I agree the Referee was poor but it wasn't him that failed to score!
