  1. Correct. It's the only time I've seen a Saints player score five in a match, though I was at Portman Road when Alan Brazil scored five against us.
  2. OK, here goes. On the same night that Saints drew 1-1 at Orient to clinch promotion to Div 1 back in 1978 the reserves were playing at home. In the reserves match a Saints player scored five goals - who was he?
  3. Damn, I missed my go. That's the problem with only accessing the internet at work! And I had a great question ready too.
  4. Nick Holmes and Steve Williams.
  5. Actually, I heard the ref blow his whistle the moment Kelvin handled it but it then took him a long time to get to the scene because he was up by the halfway line.
  6. He played well. Would have scored if Lallana or Barnard had passed to him instead of being greedy.
  7. I'll rise to this one. I'd be very surprised if the vast majority of true Saints supporters couldn't name 90% of the teams in our division.
  8. The Channon goal is definitely the best team goal I've seen Saints score (shame we lost the match 3-2) but for individual goals MLT must have the top five, with a special mention for Nick Holmes lang-range effort against Liverpool (in a 3-2 win) and, of course, Barry Horne. Oh, and Steve Moran against Leeds when he beat 4 or 5 defenders and then the keeper.
  9. Ajax are one point behind Steve McClaren's Twente with two games to play.
  10. Coventry home in early 80s. 5-5! Great game. I remember Bally making a mistake to give them a two goal lead and then straight from the kick-off he went through and crashed one in the corner. Keith Cassells scored twice I think. And afterwards Danny Wallace was in a rage in the dressing room, throwing his boots about because he thought we'd lost!
  11. Our first goal last night was number 100 for the season in all comps. When was the last time we scored a hundred goals in a season? I'm guessing back in the 60s. Any stattos out there?
  12. When was the last time Saints scored 100 goals in a season?
  13. Your list started off well and then I saw Robbie Savage and I fell off my chair. You were joking, right?
  14. Morgan was MoM for me. Controlled the middle. Won countless tackles and kept the ball and passed it simple in tight situations. Not sure what match some people were watching but this was a much better perfomance than Wycombe or Brentford away. Never in any doubt whatsoever from start to finish.
  15. dluker@saintsfc.co.uk tickets@saintsfc.co.uk Very commendable. I would do the same.
  16. I know what you mean. I was in the wrong end for the semi-final against Watford at Villa Park in 2003. Stayed quiet when Brett scored, but went straight to the toilets and did a silent dance, punching the air, in one of the cubicles. Fortunately, didn't have to do that for the final but did have to pay £300 to get a ticket in the Saints end. I seem to remember a quite large block of yellow saints flags in one corner of the Forest end at the 1979 final.
  17. LOL. I'll be there.
  18. No way should Safri and John be in a worst foreign saints XI. Quality players.
  19. +1 Saaarf of the River, near London Bridge.
  20. I would say, yes you can. They are hardly going to block your account if you haven't bought any tickets yet. (People may be away on holiday all this week and can't buy.) But probably best to ask the ticket office. Should be quiet today as nearly all the season ticket holders have already bought their JPT tickets.
  21. 2 in the last 5 games - Exeter & Mk Dons - but don't let the facts get in the way of your argument.
  22. I was also there and we played very well that day. But let's not forget that they won at Leeds in their last away match.
  23. I'll try that next time I get through. Thanks.
  24. Yes, that's what I mean. But how do you select the junior prices? It only shows the adult prices and doesn't seem to give me the option of selecting junior prices.
  25. Can anyone advise how you can select concession price tickets online? It may be staring me in the face but I can't see it. Thank you.
