A34 fine now & M40 completely clear. Not yoo late to get going again.

You are right. Your memory is better than mine!
-
I was there for that one. We were 2-0 up, they came back to 2'-2, then we were 4-2 up. Goalscorers were Charlie George, Channon and two for Steve Moran I think.

Long heard the booing and just flipped his hand to dismiss it and turned and walked off.
-
I too chose the silent response but I can't condemn those who booed, especially if they have been to all three away games. It's all very frustrating because with our first team we would have walked this group. However, it hasn't spoiled my trip and I will carry on enjoying Prague until tomorrow morning before flying back in time for the Everton match. That one had better be good. PS I saw a number of supporters who were at my last Euopean away match in Hamburg in 1984 and we didn't score then either!
-
No. I support the team, not any particular manager or player. Nobody is guaranteed to be still here next season.
-
I was there and didn't hear it.
-
I was at Wembley for that match and if you'd told me then that Koeman would be managing us 20+ years later I wouldn't have believed you.

I heard it and he spoke very well. He only recited the Saints' mission statement because he was asked to by Gary Richardson. I had previously heard him speak at halftime in hospitality and he was very good then too. -
Clyne is a big stretch. I think Crystal Palace can claim him.

Never did get to see the national time play but I'll always be able to say 'I was there when Kampala City Council won their last match to clinch the National League title!' Indeed a great place.
-
I also look out for Uganda's results as I lived there for three years in the late 90s. Guttingly, they always find a way to lose out on qualifying for the African Cup of Nations in the last match. Leyton Orient played a pre-season match in Kampala one year - one supporter travelled!
-
2-1 would be a straight victory, not on away goals. (We drew the first leg.)

If you are a member they don't send you a print-at-home ticket, they add it to your card which you scan at the turnstile. Good idea to write down the block, row and seat number otherwise you won't know where to go!
-
I hadn't received mine either so e-mailed tickets@saintsfc.co.uk and got a next day reply. Card arrived today. Good point about remembering block, row and seat number!

why league season isn't ordinary - Man U's rivals?

A couple of thousand there maybe? Bunked off college and drove like mad and still missed the first two goals (1-1) - great night. -

In 1984 I was at Notts County last game of the season when we won to finish second behind Liverpool and Moan Utd finished 4th. -
Currently living in Christchurch, New Zealand. Went to see the local team, Canterbury Utd, play against WaiBoP Utd in the NZ national league today and the visitors' goalkeeper and captain was Andrew McNeil, who was in the Saints side that reached the FA Youth Final in 2005, with Walcott, Best, McGoldrick, Lallana, Bale etc. He played a few games in Scotland (Hibernian, Raith, Livingston) after being released by Saints, without playing a first team game, and is still only 26. He didn't have a lot to do today but was beaten by a screamer for the only goal of the game. One of the players for Canterbury was Danny Boys and in the programme it said Southampton was one of his two former cubs but I've never heard of him. Anyone?

My first ever away game. Those were the days. The traffic queue for London started at Winchester!

Any good streams for those of us not in England?

Those two games (Anderlecht and Man City) are high up my list of Dell memories too. It was Trevor Hebberd who ploughed through the mud to score the winner against City.
